Expensive Parking and Tight Rooms

Rooms are tight with a veneer of remodeling. Parking was an additional $35 CAD which was totally not worth it. I would stay at the Renaissance down the road next time.

Our flight arrived in Toronto at 11:30 am and by the time we’d collected our luggage and caught the shuttle to the hotel it was about 1:00 pm. We were told our room was ready and we could check in early IF we paid an extra $75! To that we replied Fuddle Duddle, or words to that effect. (Canadians over age 60 will understand). We chose to park ourselves in the lobby until we were allowed to check in at 3:00. The room was as basic and boring as they come. Paper cups for the keurig machine, not very green. No breakfast included. Typical Hilton. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!! Note: we stayed at a Holliday Inn on our return trip and they allowed us to check in early. My daughter wondered, if we arrived really late, do you think they’d give us money off the price?

Fine if you’re not there to sleep

Travelling on my own from the UK. Fell asleep around 9pm, was awakened by a call from reception at 11:30 to ask me to keep the noise down, because there has been a report of noise on my floor. Presumably the whole floor was being called in case they were the source of the noise, to ensure that no one on the floor could sleep. The sound of one hand clapping was deafening. Please fire the waste of space who was on reception the night of April 13th.
