Disturbed to find - upon check out - that the original nightly rate quoted did not apply to every night. Beware their rates are variable!! made reservations based on $270/night.But in fact, the last two nights were over $450/night!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre for a few nights and overall had a good experience. The location is great close to restaurants, shopping, and easy access to transit. The staff was friendly and check-in was smooth. That said, I did notice some small stains on the bedsheets, which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. Also, the elevators felt quite old and were very slow, which can be frustrating given how busy the building is. The gym also was close for renovation. Still, the room was comfortable and quiet, and I’d consider staying here again if they update a few things.

It was super affordable and in the middle of downtown! All of the main tourist attractions were about 10-15 min walk. The room was clean and the staff were very accommodating. Would stay again!

The real issue was when we were checking in. We did ask for an early check-in but it couldn't be accommodated. Understandable. We showed uo quite early as we took a red eye and landed in Toronto at 7am. The issue was when ee were tokd to call back 10am. Then at noon and again at 2. We were finally allowed to check-in. On top of that, we had also left out suitcase with them as we did not want to lug that around downtown toronto while we waited for an available room. It was when we asked for them to retrieve it, it was momentarily lost/misplaced. Even though we had a ticket for our luggae l. An employee then had to ask my partner to help him find it. She went with him and found it immediately. It was front and centre in the storage room. We were not impressed, to say the least. Other than that, the stay was great. Room and amenities were great.
