The front desk service was excellent

The front desk service was excellent. Although I arrived a bit early, the staff handled the check-in with a smile throughout and provided helpful introductions. The room had all the basic amenities, including a microwave and a small fridge. However, the breakfast was too simple, with too few hot food options.

The room was fine, staff were friendly and polite. We were surprised there is no elevator to reach rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor with our bags. There were noisy guests late at night, and no signs around asking for quiet between 11pm and 7am. Breakfast was mediocre with a broken juice machine and no replacement juice. Overall, it could have been better but it was value for money.

Clean and quiet

The staff is very kind and support well. The hotel is clean and quiet. Looks old, but it was finished the renovation brilliantly, and it's clean and well organized. It's a little further away than downtown Toronto, but it's easy to get in.

My overall experience did not meet my expectations as the property felt outdated and needing a refresh. The only food available was coin operated vending machine with very limited, over-priced options between chips and chocolate bars. Many of the outlets in the room did not work and the noise from the adjoining room could be heard quite clearly. Most of the tv channels were low quality and blurry making them unwatchable. The staff were polite and helpful which is the only positive comment I can make about my stay.
