Our visit was for a 4 night annual family vacation in late August. The weather didn't cooperate fully, but the kids braved the water anyhow and it was overall a good experience.
Pros:
Great location in proximity to neighbors, area (road wasn't too busy), and close to Traverse for a day trip. House was spacious and games in basement provided additional fun when it was too chilly to swim. Disney+ on tv for movie nights (this was great for kids while adults made dinner). Garage to store items in. Second cabin was a nice feature as well as a nice fire pit with lots of seating. Gas grill was convenient as well as all of the kitchen utensils provided.
Cons:
Beach is very small and shaded 80% of the swimming hours which made it harder to enjoy when the weather was on the chillier side for August. Pontoon was too expensive to rent which was a huge bummer. Only one toilet paper roll per bathroom, one trash bag, one detergent pod, etc for a group of 13. This meant that we had to pack all of the extras we would use which was a pain in the butt for traveling. Two of the beds were old and worn out (could feel springs in mine, other one was very caved in in the middle - more like a hammock). Mice scampering in ceiling kept basement bedroom members awake (they are addressing the mice problem though and made us aware when we arrived). Bees swarmed the deck and dock area.
Overall the stay was decent and probably would have been better if it was warmer out. For our family, we need a better beach so we wouldn't stay again but I could see this being a great setup for other families who weren't as interested in the water / beach time.
