Shadowland River Lodge auf dem Boardman River

Die Shadowland River Lodge liegt ca. 12 Meilen südöstlich der Innenstadt von Traverse City. Es befindet sich in der Nähe des Zentrums von 33 Morgen privatem Land mit über 1.300 Fuß Front entlang des Boardman River. Die ursprüngliche Kabinenstruktur wurde 1929 erbaut und in späteren Jahren um eine Küche, einen Essbereich, ein komplettes Badezimmer, einen begehbaren Kleiderschrank, einen Hauswirtschaftsraum und ein Hauptschlafzimmer am Fluss erweitert. Die Shadowland River Lodge bietet derzeit Platz für bis zu 8 Gäste und verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer und ein Etagenbett in der Hauptblockhausstruktur sowie einen Futon in doppelter Größe. Saisonal besteht die Möglichkeit für zwei Personen auf dem Dachboden zu schlafen, der über einen Außeneingang verfügt. Ebenfalls einzigartig in der Shadowland River Lodge ist die Möglichkeit, dass Familie und Freunde Zelte oder Pop-up-Camper auf dem Grundstück aufstellen. So kann Ihre ganze Familie im Wesentlichen Ihren eigenen privaten Campingplatz genießen.

Das Anwesen ist zu einem Rückzugsort für diejenigen geworden, die etwas abseits des Trubels von Traverse City wohnen möchten. Tauchen Sie ein in die Vergangenheit und genießen Sie die Privatsphäre und den Sinn für die Natur, die diese Blockhütte entlang des Boardman River umgibt.

Fantastic property!! It was very helpful that Jason met us on arrival and explained details of the cabin and the area. He is super helpful, responsive and very kind! Thank you Jason! The kitchen and dining area are stocked completely with anything needed for cooking and prepping meals. There are lots of coffee cups and wine glasses . Lots of spices. It’s so nice to have an adequate amount of paper towels, TP , napkins and dish soap. There was bug spray and lots of wood for the firepit. The laundry room was a great place for the dogs to stay in their crates when we went out.

Peace and Tranquility at Shadowland River Lodge

This was our first time vacationing on the Boardman River and the Shadowland River Lodge was the best of everything. The location, the feel of a true log cabin, and all the amenities that anyone would need. The lodge and kitchen were stocked with everything we needed. The new hot tub was amazing. We spent most of our time just relaxing on the lawn next to the river, tubing on the river and walking the property. Upon arrival at the lodge the owners greeted us and showed us everything that we needed to know for our vacation. We would definitely come back to the Shadowland Lodge and highly recommend to anyone that enjoys peace and tranquility.

A Wonderful Mini-Vacation

This is our fourth time staying at the Shadow Lodge and it just keeps getting better. Great experience from start to finish. We love the vintage decor and the history of this wonderful home. Each time we come we appreciate it and its owners even more. This will be the first time when it was actually warm enough to soak our feet in the river and watch our rescue dog catch a fish! Getaway was Perfect

This was our third time at Shadowland. It was another incredible vacation that went all too quickly. Jason the host was perfect and we loved our stay. Fantastic Family Meetup in the land of Turquoise Waters

Our families met up with two kids and two dogs to check out Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore and the area, we found this to be cozy, cute and comfortable; perfect for what we needed. It was clean, comfortable furniture and beds and has everything you need to cook at home. Well stocked with indoor and outdoor games. The hosts were wonderful. We loved the hot tub, the giant fireplace and the river view! This is a gorgeous private forest getaway and we all would highly recommend it. We will be back!

Amazing stay

This was an absolutely amazing stay. Check-in was easy, Jason met us at the house, which was a nice and unique touch. The house is in a beautiful setting, very clean and Jason had everything ready for us. He truly made it feel as if it was our home for the weekend. It was a Mother’s Day getaway and we just lounge around the fire pit listening to the sounds of the babbling river and the crackling fire. We went out to eat a couple times in Traverse City and other than that just relaxed. The hot tub was amazing. My wife enjoyed reading one of the books that was left in the living room about the history of Boardman River.This was an excellent day and we will definitely be back. We loved every minute of it.

Phenomenal Cabin!

Once we explored the cabin and property, everyone agreed that this place was the best placed we ever stayed. Starting with meeting the hosts (Jason and Nicole) for a quick rundown of the property, btw the nicest hosts and very responsive if you have any questions, they showed us around and even set up the fire pit and fireplace all we had to do was light it up and enjoy. Not to outshine the hosts but the property is the real star. From the views, the fire pit/place, the river, the cozy feel and decorations everything is fantastic. This place has everything from interesting books, board games, blue tooth speaker, a hot tub!!!Jason and Nicole make the check out process incredible easy and stress free. I know this place will be talked about between us for a long time and we all agreed that we will be coming back to the property.

Our family had an incredible stay at this rustic yet beautiful log cabin near Traverse City. The cabin has a charming, rustic ambiance that immediately made us feel at home, but it also boasts a newly remodeled and well-appointed kitchen, which made preparing family meals a breeze.One of the highlights was the huge fireplace—it became the centerpiece of our evenings as we sat around it drinking hot chocolate. There was plenty of supplied firewood, so we never had to worry about keeping the fire going. The property itself is lovely for walking, and we were thrilled to find hiking trails nearby to explore the great outdoors.The cabin’s location is ideal, close to major attractions, but it still felt secluded and peaceful. For dining out, we highly recommend a visit to Yankee Boy Restaurant—it's a must!The hosts were absolutely wonderful—attentive but offering just the right amount of space. Communication was easy, and we felt they genuinely cared about our experience, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Our entire family left feeling recharged and refreshed. Best Fall Getaway

I just returned from my 4th year in a row at Shadowland River Lodge and it could not have been a more perfect stay! The property itself is so beautiful and peaceful. Sipping coffee by the river in the morning and wine by the fire pit at night is just the best! My dogs love being able to roam freely in the yard and we sleep well every night. There are tons of things to do in the area with wineries, shopping and restuarants being just a short drive away. Jason and Nicole are the best hosts and are a big part of why I return every year. I am always sad to leave but will be counting the days until my visit next October!

Perfect place for fall getaway

Shadowland River Lodge has the perfect rustic charm with all the amenities to make our stay with a 6 month old and dog very relaxing. I honestly don't think that pictures do the setting justice, it's the idyllic scene of cabin on a wooded river. Jason and Nicole have put a lot of thought and care into this place and they were excellent to communicate with. We hope to stay again soon!
