Love this place

This is my second stay at this charming place and I sprang for a second floor beach view room, which was totally worth it! My balcony had a lot of cobwebby/dead plant material clinging to the corners and the legs of the furniture, but it wasn’t bad enough for me to request a cleaning before I used it. The beach is well kept and the casting device in the tv was a nice surprise. Friendly staff, pretty rooms, breakfast came right on time every day. My greatest wish is that it could be a child-free hotel, but the kids there provided amusement as much as they caused annoyance. Overall it was peaceful for a place that seems to attract a lot of families.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. The team was welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. We loved being off the beach. We also really liked the breakfast boxes delivered each morning. There were several meal options, and while it wasn’t a hot breakfast, it was convenient and satisfying. We’d happily return for another visit!

Pros- staff was very helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the lamps that doubled as nightlights Cons- trash from previous guest left in bathroom. No handicapped accessible outside doors. Parking spaces were very small and the arrangement made it hard to park with a scooter on the back. For the price the breakfast could be better.

I really enjoyed the easy access to the lake for the kids. The water was perfect, not too deep. It’s a beautifully kept property. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are perfect. It was our 1st time in Traverse City but we will definitely be back! Thank you, Sugar Beach, for a great weekend!
