I am writing this review because I am absolutely heartbroken that my child got chemical burns/skin irritation/ rashes from the swim spa. We had the water tested and the water quality rated 20%. The levels were so out of wack, that the pool company recommended completely draining the swim spa and starting over because it couldn’t be corrected/balanced otherwise. No child should have to endure pain, let alone this amount of excruciating pain from simply being in a swim spa that is not properly maintained. We did alert the owner and sent the test results from the water. We have kept extensive record of the burns/rashes. We had to seek medical attention. Our child has to be on oral medication for pain as well as topical prescription ointment multiple times a day to treat the affected areas: neck, arm, & legs. She can’t even take a bath because of the pain. I am writing this review in hopes that no other family has to experience this. Another side note for parents is that the front door can just be opened from inside, it will be locked on the outside but there is no locking it inside. The kiddos can just open it and walk out. The home is beautiful, the owner is kind.

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house over a long weekend during spring break. The neighborhood was so nice and quiet. The house had everything we needed! The large deck and patio table was great for spending time on and the swim spa was a hit for the kids. The lake water level was very low, but the boys still had fun fishing off the dock. We ventured out to the Triple N Ranch Winery around the corner twice from the property and it was definitely a highlight of the trip! They are kid friendly with a big open space for them to play outside. Live music and watching the herd of longhorns come up for feeding time was a great time for all, and good wine! We will be back!!

The property and listing were both great, and overall we enjoyed our stay. There were just a few minor issues on arrival — dishes were still in the dishwasher, the fridge still had information from previous renters (including some private details), and the outdoor trash cans had not been emptied. The blackstone had not been cleaned, throw rug by the grill was ripped, which was a bit of a tripping hazard, and the pergola cover was loose. The Blackstone was rusty. None of these took away from the overall experience, but they’re worth noting for future guests.

Nice place on the west- central area of Cedar Creek

The description of the property was accurate and the host was very responsive to questions. Although an older property, it is well maintained. The lot and outdoor spaces are really pretty. This property is down an inlet, pretty far off the main lake. This keeps your boat from being subjected to too much wind. It is, however, difficult to turn around near the dock and if you have a smaller boat (ours is 19') the slip can be difficult to use. We gave up and tied off on the main dock, but the cleats are too close together. Bring extra bumpers if you need to tie up. There are no fishing poles supplied and only 2 wash cloths were found in the house (we had 6 people), as well as no dish cloths for washing dishes. Bring those as well as paper towels and toilet paper. There is a Dollar General about 10 minutes away and a Brookshire's 15 minutes away for any needs. No close restaurants to this location. The closest boat ramp is at the Tiki Hut, but is not really usable unless you're a local and know to back down the road leading to the ramp location. Much better, but further away, is Clearwater Marina -5 to use the ramp. The large hot tub was really nice! The 6- person round dining table was large enough for us to spread out and eat together, the living room furniture is comfortable. It appears the property is for sale, so how much longer it'll be a rental is questionable. We appreciated being able to bring our 2 small dogs and the yard is very pet- friendly.

Girl's Weekend to Canton

We loved the house. We chose it for the outdoor amenities but when our trip rolled around, there were storms in the area so we didn't get to take advantage of that. We had an opportunity to grill on Saturday evening but the grill had not been cleaned so we cooked inside. The house had plenty of room for the 4 of us and I loved that each of the ladies had their own room with a comfy bed. Were a little disappointed that there were only 2 bedrooms with TVs when the ad said all bedrooms had TVs. There were a few hic-cups (no toliet paper and not enough wash cloths for 4 women for 2 nights) but we worked through it. All in all, we would definitely stay again

Lovely Property!

This house pretty much had everything we needed. The kayaks were a plus and the hot tub was nice. There was a lot of space for my whole family. Cleanliness could’ve been better. No beach towels available as advertised. More bath towels needed. The pontoon wasn’t available as advertised but the lake was 3 ft low so we may not have been able to use it anyways. Communication was really good though.

Relaxing

Beautiful landscaping. The cove is really quiet. It was a relaxing stay. Any family and friend getaway is made very easy as the kitchen has lots of dishes and utensils for cooking and serving. There are several nearby stores if you need something. Great outdoor lighting for cozy evenings on the patio. The spa is nice and clean. But at this price point, I was expecting a little more attention to details.

Beautiful outdoor space

We rented this house with my daughter’s family to be near my brother, who lives on the same lake for a small family reunion. The owner was very responsive with my questions. We also rented their pontoon boat for a day on the lake. We would definitely rent this place again.

My family spent Memorial Day weekend here. We had a lovely time. The beds were all comfortable. The living room is huge with comfortable sofas. There were enough pans to make do, though the knives definitely need sharpening! Gorgeous home!

Relaxing lakeside house

We chose to stay in this house to witness the eclipse in April and enjoy a vacation with our adult family. It had what we needed for a great time! Unfortunately two of us had to work remotely during the vacation, but lucky for them the wifi was strong enough even on the back deck that they could enjoy the beauty of the yard and lake. The backyard is lovely and has a great deck for dining with a large hot tub and a lawn sloping down to a dock on a branch of the reservoir. The hot tub is very large and a beautiful place to lounge with a glass of wine. The great room of the house has a wonderful double height view of the water and we enjoyed hanging out on all the comfy couches in the evenings talking and playing board games. The owner is friendly and helpful and responded quickly when we called. She was happy to explain anything we needed such as "how to get the hot tub up to temperature" and "where to go sightseeing in the area". The beds were comfy and the kitchen is adequately furnished with gear for simple family cooking and dining.
