Immaculate! Cozy! Well stocked! We felt right at home. The townhouse has two entrances which makes it super easy to bring suitcases into the bedrooms and the other entrance convenient to the kitchen. Ceiling fans plus good AC kept the home cool as the temperatures were over 100 degrees. The carport was tall enough to accommodate our tall truck. Lots of birds singing in the morning made it feel like home! And Michelle, our host was very helpful with questions I had! I would stay there again if I was in Tucson.
We stayed for a week and couldn't have been happier. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and there is lovely Southwestern art throughout the house. Checkin was easy. Great books too.
Michelle and Dan are terrific hosts. The communication and check in were seamless. The beds were very comfortable, the place was immaculate. The townhome is conveniently located in Oro Valley, close to shoppes and great restaurants. I was concerned there might be traffic noise, but we were able to sleep with the windows open without any issues. We would stay again.
The instructions for finding the rental were perfect. The rental was clean, comfortable, and a perfect end to a long traveling day. We were able to hike at Catalina State Park - a short distance away. The owners were very quick to respond when we had a question. Would definitely recommend this rental to anyone!
Wonderful townhouse. Comfortable seating, Fantastic kitchen, comfortable beds and clean. The library was top notch and the location was only a couple of miles from our family. I highly recommend this property.
My family of four had a wonderful stay! The townhome is so clean, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood and the house was fully stocked. Everything we needed was in there including cooking oil, Brita water filter (we used it and also purchased a few gallons of drinking water), butter, spices, extra water bottles etc. Great selection of books, good WiFi and really comfortable beds and pillows! I liked that there were four beds which made my girls sleep comfortably. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a comfortable place so close to the mountains.
well maintained and very clean. Everything you would need is provided.
Main road out back is a little loud but decreases significantly in the evening.
Very comfortable while waiting for our house to be ready.
Host very accommodating to changes in our schedule.
The townhouse is as described in a great area with all amenities easily accessible. The townhouse is well-stocked, and has a vast library, including Arizona history books and photos.
Five stars are not enough to rate this place!
Additionally, the host was easy to reach and responded quickly.
This townhouse is very spacious and clean. I call it cozy because unlike a hotel stay, there are so many books to look at or read. Lovely seating options and an Arizona room. It was only me and my friend, but a family of 4 would have no trouble being comfortable here.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Oro Valley site. It was very clean and lots of amenities if needed. It was comfortable and easy access to other areas in the community.
Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Check in was great. Property owner Michelle was quick to reply to any questions we had. We appreciated her assistance with sightseeing suggestions (property has brochures with information on local sites and eateries). Close to great bike trails along the river (short drive from property to trailhead parking lot). Property as described on website. Well stocked, comfortable furniture accommodating people 5â8â and 6â3â tall. Newer, clean washer and dryer which I greatly appreciated! Most comfortable beds weâve ever had at a VRBO. My husband said internet speeds were greatâŠno problems whatsoever (internet speed repeatedly tested at 50Mb or better). Our subscription services worked very well on their TV. Very centrally located to a variety of grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants. We stayed about 6 weeks mid-Dec to late Jan 2024. Wonderful artwork and a large selection of books to read! We would stay again!
Townhome was as advertised. Happy with the cleanliness, and they provided what we needed for our stay. Didnât use the pool. One issue for me, but might not be for others, was the foam in the mattresses and pillows. I get excessively hot from foam.
Clean & cozy. great location if you enjoy hiking. I went in February. The pool was not heated. There were some issues using the lock to get into the spa. Host responded promptly. Beds & couch comfortable.
This is a great VRBO. The location is perfect. It is out of the major hub of the traffic/stop lights in the city. Any shopping you need to do this location is the best. Malls galore with easy access and wide open spaces. Beautiful view of the mountains and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our relaxing stay at Sunnyslope. This was the best furnished VRBO we have ever stayed in. Our Host (Michelle) was quick to reply to any questions. She was great and we appreciated her assistance. First Class all the way. Would stay there again without hesitation.
Pros:
The location is convenient to Oro Valley and Tucson, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.
The house is is equipped with everything you need for a short term or longer term stay.
Nice newer washer/dryer.
Nicely updated bathrooms.
Nice hardwood looking tile flooring - no carpet. :)
Con's:
Lot's of House Rules...Upon arriving, owner wanted me to confirm that I read all of the rules. Upon reviewing them I discovered that the A/C thermostat was locked at 75 degrees, meaning it won't go below 75 degrees in the Summer. I didn't tell my husband right away as I knew that he wouldn't want to stay and once you arrive...it's really hard to find other lodging at the last minute. I was hoping that he wouldn't notice but he figured it out once we got hot and he couldn't get the A/C to go any lower...I had to finally confess. He said that this place is a "No Go" for our future visits to the area.
The internet was also a problem...it works but the speed test was only 4 megabytes, so it's something to consider if you need to do any zoom meetings or work from home while on vacation.
The TV is older so it doesn't have any apps on it so we had to use our laptop to watch Netflix and other streaming apps. The rulebook said that there was supposed to be an HDMI cable in the right drawer under the TV, but when we looked it wasn't anywhere to be found. Luckily, we had one of our own...if this is important to you - make sure to bring one.
The road noise on Oracle is pretty loud when you have the doors open in the evening while trying to cool the place down.
All in all the property was okay considering the price. If you are looking for a reasonable place to stay in a nice, safe location and don't mind the A/C lockout situation and older TV -- you will be just fine.
Great location & comfortable, made it easy to accomplish a lot of Tucson tasks & travels. We now have a place in Oro Valley as a result of this trip so that would be the only reason we wouldn't return.
Had a quick weekend for my daughterâs sporting event. Townhouse was exactly what we needed. Comfy beds and fully stocked kitchen (appliances and utensils not food).
