Lovely home from home apartment, full fridge freezer, full oven, kettle, toaster n coffee machine, washing machine, large very private well equipped terrace, front line with gorgeous sea views, lift to apt, all bars and restaurants a stones throw, try Raices.However a safe would be great and softer pillows, all in all would go back

Fantastic Stay

Great location in quite non-touristy, town. Well stocked and 2nd bathroom is a godsend. As was a shopping trolley for carrying the water from one of two local supermarkets. One slightly odd thing was that the kitchen only had one socket - for a kettle, microwave and coffee maker, so was a little annoying to have to keep plugging & unplugging. Overall a fantastic stay & great communication with Candeleria.

Penthouse apartment Gran Tarajal

Everything about the holiday/apartment from the original booking process was perfect, in particular the level of communication with Candelaria from start to finish was exemplary and deserves special mention. The apartment itself had everything we required in terms of facilities for a two week stay. The location of the apartment could not be bettered with a fantastic view of the bay, beach and promenade (the photographs on the website do not do it full justice) and being in close proximity to all amenities and food and drink areas. For anybody looking for a relaxing holiday in an area of traditional Spanish hospitality we would fully recommend this property.

Fantastic, quiet apartment with beautiful sea views

Our stay in Candelaria's apartment was brilliant. The space was clean and nicely arranged, with a great utility space and wonderful, large outdoor terrace. In a very quiet apartment building. With panoramic views of the sea and beach, as well as looking down on the busy yet quiet and peaceful promenade below. Gran Tarajal has been great for snorkeling as well as being away from the tourist hotspots. A very down to earth town with lots of cafes and restaurants. The perfect location for visiting the whole island - one hour from the north of the island and 40 minutes from the south, it ticked every box for us. We will definitely be back to stay in this apartment if we can!

Fabulous Apartment in a great Location!

We had a fantastic week in this lovely apartment. When we arrived it had been cleaned to a high standard and is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The terrace is large with plenty of room for the 2 comfy loungers and a table with two chairs. It also has an electric awning and a handy shower to cool you off when the sun is beating down. The apartment is situated right on the beach front in the heart of this small Spanish resort. There are 2 large supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance and several restaurants and bars very close by. Joaquin and Candelaria are very easy to communicate with and we were met by Joaquin who showed us around the apartment and explained how to work things. We can highly recommend this property and hope to return next year.

So pleased with our choice

Just got back from a short break in Fuerteventura after making a last minute decision to find a little winter sun. After scanning through available accommodation for the week 8th - 15th November we decided to book this apartment in Gran Tarajal. Always a gamble when choosing somewhere to stay but how pleased we were with our choice. The apartment is large, well equipped and spotless. Everything needed for a great stay is to hand. The kitchen is of a great standard with quality appliances and we made great use of the hob, oven and fridge freezer cooking breakfast and dinner on most days. For me it is the small touches that make all the difference and show that the owners have gone the extra mile to make their property stand out... a complimentary bottle of wine, a box of chocolates, lovely cheese in the fridge, a new fresh dishcloth and scourer in the sink area. No need to pop out and buy the essentials at a local supermarket as soon as you arrive. (but rest assured it is so easy to stock up on food and drink at the two main supermarkets, EuroSpa and Hyperlink, both are literally 4 minutes walk away and are a joy to wander round). The location of the apartment couldn't be bettered, with a panoramic view across the bay / beach from the stunning balcony ; perfect for watching the world go by whilst enjoying a cold beer. The balcony enjoys the sun from early morning til late afternoon AND if you get too hot there is a fabulous remote controlled electric sun blind. In the utility area off the balcony we found a useful shopping trolley (so useful for trundling back from the supermarket with all our provisions) and folding beach chairs & sun parasols which we admit we took to the beach with us on several occasions). We had a hire car for the week and explored many of the towns north and south of Gran Tarajal and we quickly realised how glad we were with our choice of location. Gran Tarajal is a proper, authentic town with a great feel about it. Many other towns are purely there for tourists with no character or ambience and far less choice of quality bars, restaurants and shops. Interestingly the prices in the two main supermarkets in Gran Tarajal are substantially lower for general holiday provisions like, beer, soft drinks, eggs, bread, cerals etc than in the tourist supermarkets in places like Costa Calma. We came up with wine at around €2 a bottle, cans of beer for 23 cents. In conclusion I would strongly recommend this property.

Fabulous apartment

The property is well maintained and as described. The situation is perfect, overlooking the beach, terrace is impressive and you get the sun early till late. Supermarket a 5 minute walk away with everything you could possibly need. Kitchen is well set out and we cooked dinner on the evening of the storm (it wasn’t a night to venture out) with no problem. All the comforts you need in a home from home. One suggestion however would be to add another 2 seater sofa as there is only one and it’s a bit cramped sharing. Utility room with a washer and a drier, perfect set up. Very comfortable bed and all amenities literally on your doorstep. Plenty of bars/restaurants to suit all tastes within a minute of your front door. Gran Tarajal is a very Spanish town and the promenade came alive at night with locals and their families enjoying the evening. It was a very friendly place and a joy to be in. I would recommend this listing if you want a quieter version of corralejo or Caleta de Fuste not much English spoken but be got by. No souvenir shops or loud bars with live music blasting out till late which was really lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave. Would I return, unfortunately no but only for the reason that the air con does not extend to the bedroom and I spent a very uncomfortable 10 night trying to sleep, there is only a unit In The main living room, also the international tv mentioned only had one English speaking channel so that kinda spoiled our quiet night in or when we returned from Dinner to sit down and relax. The host was extremely attentive and lovely to deal with. Just falls short of the 5 stars.

We loved gran tarajal. It is a very quiet non touristy friendly town. Lovely safe sandy beach which is really used by the locals. Good selection of restaurants, and local shops. We would holiday there again.

Ideal location for a relaxing getaway

We loved our time in Fuerteventura and staying in Gran Tarajal was a great decision. The town itself is less "touristy" than other places on the island - but is a short drive away from some great beaches. We stayed in Gran Tarajal for 8 nights and were happy to spend most of our time relaxing on the balcony, walking on the beach, visiting coffee shops/eating out, and walking in the hills. It was a perfect honeymoon location as we wanted to really chill out. The flat itself had everything we needed. It was clean, well equipped and with great views. We loved the balcony and the peacefulness of the area.

We have just got back from an amazing week. Apartment was perfect, clean , spacious and ideally located. We had hired a car and went to various beaches north and south. Was lovely chilling out on the balcony after a day out and watching the world go by and people on the beach until quite late. Bed was extremely comfortable and linen and towels were spot on too. Fabulous apartment, best location!

The owner of the property was very helpful from the initial booking to meeting us on arrival at a nearby location. The apartment was clean and had all the facilities that you would expect - dishwasher, washing machine, WIFI etc. The location is perfect, overlooking the fantastic beach. We spent a lot of time on the balcony admiring the views!! Can't wait to return. Highly recommended!!

Perfect location, dream terrace, cosy apartment, great ocean view, direct access to beach

We spent 6 days in this -just the right size for two- roof top apartment in Gran Tarajal. It's got all you need for your stay; a large terrace with unobstructed ocean view (we had all our meals outside on the terrace and it brings also two deck chairs), airco, dishwasher, laundry machine & dryer, satellite TV (but the view from the terrace is far more interesting), iron and ironing board, shower on the terrace, cool bedroom and 1 1/2 bathroom. There is a good choice of restaurants and ample parking space within 200m from the apartment.On top of that Joaquin is a very friendly host who welcomes you at the town square on arrival and stays in contact during your stay to see if all goes well. If you are looking for a town where you can still feel the local spirit, away from the busy tourist centers and well situated to explore Fuerteventura, Gran Tarajal and this apartment is the place to be. We had a great stay.

Auszeit auf der Insel

Gran Tarajal ist richtig gut für Menschen, die keinen Touristenrummel brauchen. Bei unserem langen Aufenthalt konnten wir ein wenig in das Alltagsleben der Einwohner eintauchen. Die Ferienwohnung können wir auch für längere Aufenthalte empfehlen. Es hat uns an nichts Wesentlichem gefehlt und der Blick vom riesigen Balkon auf Strand und Meer ist einfach grandios. Zwei große Supermärkte sind fußläufig zu erreichen und ein "Rolli" für schwere Einkäufe (große Wasserbehälter) ist vorhanden. Das Preisniveau dieser Märkte ist in etwa mit denen in Deutschland vergleichbar. Hervorzuheben ist die problemlose Kommunikation per WhatsApp mit der Vermieterin. Wir waren sehr angenehm überrascht, als bei einer Wasserhavarie im Haus die Wasserversorgung der Wohnung trotzdem sichergestellt war. Wer nicht gern selbst kocht, hat aus unserer Sicht ausreichende Möglichkeiten, sich in den hiesigen kleinen Restaurants beköstigen zu lassen. Der jeweilig vorhandene Geldbeutel spielt dabei die entscheidende Rolle. Ein gutes Essen für zwei Personen, dazu je ein Glas Wein und ein Dessert kann dann auch schon einmal mit rund 80 zu Buche schlagen. Die Insel wurde von uns bewusst nur mit dem Bus erkundet und die Erreichbarkeit der meisten Orte war für uns gegeben. Die Fahrpläne sollten hierfür selbstverständlich auf dem Smartphone abgespeichert sein. Da in unsere Zeit auf der Insel auch der Karneval fiel, konnten wir die Mitmach- und Lebensfreude der Einwohner nur bewundern. Sowas steckt an.
