This was a great place on the beach, although the cleanliness standards were not up to par the customer service made up for it. They did put us in a different rooms after realizing the initial room was not clean and we still had to clean a bit. The hotel had a great beach party on Sunday seems like the place to be. Iâve been all over Mexico and and I think Tulum is interesting, love the cenotes and culture but the police checkpoints and potential corruption is evident just in this area, just something to be aware of. There also was quite a bit of sargassum (seaweed) this time of year.
Wonderful and beautiful hotel, the rooms are very big, with balcony, there is a pool and they close it very late! So itâs very cool after a day of activities you can come back to enjoy the pool, the restaurant amazing! Juan is very nice and took a very good care of us, overall itâs a great place to stay at Tulum I would come back!
Pool is in horrible shape. Sargassum is so bad, you can smell all the way to the street. We had to leave a day early since we couldnât use the beach not the pool.
Generally the staff were quite nice, and helpful but the restaurant staff were slow to respond or didn't respond at all to requests like hot sauce for breakfast. In the afternoon you could only get food at the pool where it was loud, drinking and waiters simply walked past me on the patio.
Finally, upon checkout the general manager was absolutely demeaning and unprofessional, making me come back to the office after checkout regarding a discrepancy with a missing coffee cup. Definitely would choose somewhere else next time and won't stay at a Mia resort in the future because of his actions and demeanor
No beach!! at this beachfront resort!! Unfortunately this property made no mention that their beachfront resort was completely covered in Sargasso Sea grass all along the Tulum coast. The main reason for our holiday trip. A complete waste of money and time spent. Resort would have been enjoyable if the beach water was actually accessible. It stank of sulfur most of the days. Also, staff member at the dining actually scammed us into paying for free breakfast implying âgratuityâ was mandatory. We discovered next day from the front staff member that this was not required! What a shame on them! I donât recommend this place.
This was a great 2 day!!! Room was perfectly located by the ocean. Around a lot of food and shopping. Parking was easy, check in and out were easy. Thanks for decorating for my birthday. I will return
We arrived long after check in time but our room was still not ready. We were asked to wait by the beach. Upon seeing the beach, I was incredibly disappointed. Sargassum 3 ft thick and 100 feet into the water. The stench was nauseating. Moved towards the pool and saw it was very small and the water was filthy. The DJ was playing music so loudly that having a conversation was impossible. We made plans to leave ASAP. In the room, no TV or radio (we were told to connect with each other!). The resort has no evening entertainment and the road outside the hotel did not seem very safe to walk. Oh...and the sand? Entire resort covered in sand, no walkways anywhere. It's very pretty but not for me.
