Good stopping off hotel

Nice facility, centrally located. I think it would have been better if we had more time. Nice facility and the service people were anxious to help however they could. Dinner in the restaurant was very good and the steak was D-lish.

Good hotel for business stay. Food could be better foe the price. Toilet paper could be better. They closed the pool half the time I was there, I didn't use it much, but I guess people would appreciate that kind of info before booking.

Stink Carpet!

1) The carpet stank they moved to a other room 2) At check in supposedly there was no rooms together to be next to my children, but when they moved me because of the carpet, magically appears a room next to my children.

Not what we expected!!!

We choose the hotel to stay over xmas and have a nice dinner, but the room was in terrible conditions since we can smell humidity once you open the room door. They put us on a different room, there we have plumbing problems on the shower and bad programming on the tv. We really expect lot more of this big hotel company! we also saw on the first floor the staff was drying a possible over flow in one of the rooms.

Shopping trip to Tuxtla, Chiapas

With a total of 7 Canadian friends we travelled to Chiapas visiting San Cristobal & then stopping in Tuxtla for shopping. We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza before & chose it because of the spacious & clean rooms as well as the convenient location to the Crystal mall & other shopping. Our stay there was very enjoyable & we will book there again, as will our friends. We all have winter homes in Huatulco & this is a good place to visit at a reasonable distance.

Good Place to Stay in Tuxtla

Located in the hotel zone west of downtown. Set up well for business travelers, but comfortable for tourists too. The hotel facilities, including the pool, are shared with a Holiday Inn. Quiet side street. Secure, guarded parking lot. Convenient shopping mall and supermarket across the street. Near some American-style establishments such as Vips (not good), Chilis and McDonalds.

We stay here every time we go to tuxtla we enjoy the hotel. The only complaint we have is the condition of the carpet in the rooms. It really needs to be cleaned!!!

Perfectly Serviceable

Nice hotel. Perfectly serviceable. The soundproofing is not great - we could hear the stomping of the guest above and noise of the child next door. Breakfast was not included and the cost of breakfast in the adjacent Holiday Inn was expensive but a coffee shop in the car park was very affordable. Connecting to the internet was a problem - seemd overly complicated.

Good option in Tuxtla

Good value because the price was low. The hotel is well located and clean. However, it was at the level you would expect from the Crowne Plaza name. The Plaza shares the pool, lobby and restaurants with a Holiday Inn and it seems quite similar in quality, with the disadvantage that to get to the Plaza you have to walk a much longer distance from the shared entrance. At the same price, its "companion" Holiday Inn might be a better choice. The pool service for food and drinks was extremely slow because only one girl was in charge.

Sadly disappointed.

I was on a business trip. I had placed the do not disturb on the door, called housekeeping to let them know that I did not need service and they entered the room. Unfortunately, I was missing some personal items. I tried to contact the hotel manager for an entire day to no avail. A co-worker had over $500.00 dollars taken from his room as well.

A missed opportunity to be an excellent hotel

A friend and I stayed 4 nights. Positives: 1. Very clean room 2. Very comfortable mattress and pillows 3. Location excellent 4. Restaurants serve good food 5. Wireless internet worked perfectly 6. Shuttle to and from airport was great Negatives: 1. Difficult to find entrance to hotel, which actually requires walking 200+ yards from the shuttle drop-off point; there were no signs and no bellboys from Crowne Plaza there. 2. Once hotel entrance is found, difficult to find reception area, hidden behind elevators and only manned by one person (and occasionally by one assistant who doesn't do much). Always a queue there. This was the most irritating aspect of this hotel. 3. "Light breakfast" ordered in room was charged a la carte rates, and didn't include all that we ordered. Arrived on time, though. 4. Upon checkout the amount we had prepaid via Expedia was included in our bill. 5. Hot water wasn't available on 3 of our 8 showers there 6. Phone message retrieval didn't work and required several calls to tech support 7. 5/8 of the time (2 keys, 4 nights) our magnetic room keys didn't work and required us to stand in line at the reception 8. Shampoo and body lotion weren't replaced even when we left empty containers in sink; coffee packs weren't replaced on last day. 9. Check small print of 2 water bottles left in bathroom. One is free, the other is billed 500% of street price 10. Non-green hotel. No offer to allow guests to reuse towels; actually, no bath towel hangers anywhere.

Cuando llegamos nos avisaron que ya no era Crowm Plaza, sino Holiday inn, y por razonez ajenas nos cambiaron a otro hotel, por lo cual realizamos el check out un dia antes de nuestra partida, pero volvimos despues y nos ofrecieron precio especial en la habitacion, esta fue lo unico inconveniente, ya que las habitaciones y el servicio estuvo excelente
