We had a wonderful time on the property! We all had a wonderful stay with great sleep. The property had so much space and lots to do. Would stay again.
my group and i loved our stay at this home. we all slept comfortably and the pool was amazing as it was hot!! the only thing i would say is that we couldâve used more pool towels, as there is not a washer/dryer. overall, we had such a memorable time and were easily able to get to attractions we wanted to visit!
The house was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. The property had plenty of space for the kiddos to explore, pool and spa were great and the game room was a huge bonus. Would definitely recommend.
Stayed here for one night with family -- a group of 6 adults and 2 children -- while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. The location couldn't be better...just a few minutes to every amenity you could need and the park entrances. Be advised though: the photos make this location look luxurious. It's not. It's well appointed but the beds aren't comfortable, the bathrooms are small, and there isn't enough seating in the living room. Also, the fireplace was broken and we weren't informed until we got there and saw a sign inside the fireplace. It was a very cold night and would have been so nice to have a fire going. The location also had a slight odor (cats?). As for the positives: the location is like a compound or camp ground. The game room is a separate building and it's very large and very fun. There's a half bath in the gameroom and a full bathroom accessible from outside that would be perfect for the pool and hot tub. We didn't use the pool because it was very cold (and the pool was very dirty), but we did use the hot tub and it was great. Very big and luxurious.
Overall, I'd rate out experience as a 4/5. Communication was clear and the staff was easy to get a hold of. Overall, the house could have been a bit cleaner. The listing included a game room which was cool, however some of the games were missing pieces and one game we were looking forward to playing was not there at all. When contacted, we were simply told that it was gone with no real resolution.
We enjoyed our stay here. Accurate listing. Could elevate the stay with a washer and dryer on property. This house is ideal for hikes in Joshua Tree National park. Nicely situated between two park entrancesâŠâŠ. But my hiking clothes needed washing before traveling home.
We especially loved the pool for an afternoon cool down.
The house itself was great! Our kids loved the game room and the house had everything we needed. The house was clean and well stocked. The property was great with a firepit, hammocks and games. The pool and spa were dirty when we got there which was disappointing. But I messaged them and they had someone there the next day so the kids could at least use the spa. They were great about communicating.
About once a year I get together with some long-time friends (4 of us) get together for a long weekend somewhere. Of all the vacation rentals we've had, Mystic Views was the best. Tastefully decorated, very clean, well-equipped kitchen and an attractive, large yard in a good location off the main road but not too remote. The management company for the property - High Desert Dwellings - made everything easy, with easy check-in and only a few house rules and check-out instructions. I would definitely recommend this property!
I enjoyed the ease of the place, and the owners were really responsive. The house feels like a rental rather than someone renting out their home. To make it nicer, I wish there were more basic condiments, like mustard, ketchup, and balsamic vinegar. The shower towels could have been nicerâthey seemed like white gym or hotel towels. The road the house is off of is a main road so that it can get loud.
Perfect for family reunion. Enjoyed the pool and the kitchen had adequate kitchen and dishware. Did not use the game room but it looked well appointed. Could have used more kitchen towels (we only had 2); the ice and water did not work on the refrigerator; maybe more chairs for the dining table. Nothing that was a deal breaker. If there was something we should have done with the garbage or "recycling" we couldn't find that information. Thanks for letting us stay. Next time we'll come when it isn't over 100o. :)
The house was well stocked with anything we we could have needed. It was clean and super cute! The negatives were twice there was a man we believe was working on the sprinklers outside the house, which is fine. But we were a little taken back being inside a locked fenced area when we saw someone inside without warning. The back door was open when we arrived and the fenced gate was open. We arrived at night so we were a little nervous at first. The weather was not great so we couldn't use the pool. But if it would have been nice, the state of the pool wouldn't have been upsetting. My guess is the windstorm blew in dirt and sand. We couldn't see the bottom of the pool through the debri. And the patio furniture pads were also in the pool. The pool guy who came, not on the specified day, also to our surprise, and only fished out the furniture. I'm sure the state of the pool was too big of a project. Other then that, the place was amazing. Close drive to good restaurants and hikes! The hot tub was great as well!
