 Situé directement derriÚre Officer's Row historique (John Mellancamp est notre voisin!), cette partie calme de Tybee est proche du phare et North Beach.
Au rez-de-chaussĂ©e, cour clĂŽturĂ©e, hauts plafonds et trĂšs grandes fenĂȘtres laissant entrer beaucoup de lumiĂšre naturelle. Cette maison a Ă©tĂ© entiĂšrement redĂ©corĂ©e et conçue. Le chalet offre maintenant 2 salles de bain complĂštes et un "WC supplĂ©mentaire"!
Plein d'art des artistes locaux et des trouvailles vintage, des meubles confortables et le meilleur de tout le trÚs grand porche filtré avec des chaises à bascule. Vraiment un charmeur du sud d'une maison! Cette maison est une maison historique, et le propriétaire a ajouté une salle de bain complÚte supplémentaire pour un total de 2 1/2 salles de bains! Encore une autre caractéristique unique de notre maison! C'est la moitié du duplex avec le mess des hommes enrÎlés de l'autre cÎté. Les deux cÎtés sont calmes et ont des entrées privées / séparées. Besoin d'espace pour une grande famille? Louez les deux cÎtés!

An amazing family trip!

The house was well appointed and in an amazing location both on the island and to get to Savannah and surrounding attractions. The private beach access was amazing. The house was comfortable and we appreciated the historical significance of the property. I could not believe that we had neighbors, it was so quiet. A king size bed in the master would have made for a better night sleep, but the property is pretty much perfect. We would love to visit again! Thank you!

Our vacation was very enjoyable, and the property was simply delightful! The folks at Mermaid Cottages were very friendly and helpful. Check-in/out was simple. We loved the Screened Inn house. It was just perfect for us. We are already planning our next stay at Screened Inn in the Spring.

Nostalgic gem in Tybee

This was a precious property that reminded me of going to my grandmothers home. It was beautifully restored and full of character. Close to park, beach, bingo 😂 and could walk to the Post Theatre. We will be back!

A wonderful experience.

This was our first time at the screened inn but we stayed at the enlisted men’s mess hall side last year. We absolutely love the cottage and it’s location. Everything about it has been nothing but flawless each time.

Perfect beach oasis!

The cottage was the perfect spot for our girls weekend! The space fit 6 ladies comfortably and had a relaxing vibe, so it was Ana amazing vacation spot. It was closer to the beach than we thought, and short walking distance from fun restaurants and bars. Communication with the host was very consistent and easy, so there were no surprises. We will be staying here again!

Another great stay at Screened Inn

We knew this would also be a great chance to bring along the family dog as well after we stayed with Mermaid Cottages at this location Teo years ago. Perfect size and layout for our three boys and us. Great location as a quick walk from the least crowded parts of the beach on the north end of Tybee. You will love it.

Charmed!

We were swept off our feet with the cuteness of this cottage. So clean (big thanks and love to the wonderful cleaning staff!), our most important desire; and so comfortable. Spent every evening on the screen porch with a glass of wine, then eventually hung out as a family reading in the big cozy bedroom. The most charming decor, the prettiest lane, and a fabulous secret passageway to the beach, where we swam and watched dolphins. Trying to configure a return with friends. Thanks for everything, dear Mermaids!

Wonderful Weekend

The cottage was timeless and so beautifully decorated. Mermaid Cottages were absolutely amazing to work with. They communicated so well with quick responses. We felt like we had been hugged all weekend! Great place to stay and very close to the beach. Quiet neighborhood and the beach wasn’t crowded.

The “Mess Hall” Was Charming

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay - great advance communication, clean and charming historic place, perfect location. Everything worked. Only nits - (1) charcoal grill is shot - they need a new one, (2) finding path to beach was not clear - route described was blocked by a locked gate (we found an easy alternate around next house on officers row), and (3) historic cards over sink are interesting and a bit humorous, but really anti-marriage and misogynistic (might want to add an explanation of why they are there and framed or replace with something a bit more uplifting and pro-family for a family vacation cottage).

Beautiful Cottage with a couple problems

We arrived at this beautiful cottage on a Sunday. We unloaded all our items and began to fill the kitchen because we wanted to spend time there so we were planning on cooking the majority of the time we were there. We left to go walk the beach, grab some items at the store and dinner. When we got back the items in the fridge were still luke warm. We waited a bit but the temp never went down. I called the 24 number and the lady that answered was less than nice. I told her the problem and that quite a bit of food would go bad and she responded saying, "what do you want me to do about it. It is 9 pm." The owner brought over a cooler with ice in the end that we had to use until Wednesday night at 630pm. We had to keep calling to get an update on when it was going to be fixed. It was very irritating because we were told there was a fridge and I expected it to work. The other issue was it was sooooo hot in the cottage. It could not keep cool. They told us to only turn the a/c down to 70 which is okay if it actually worked. There were times it was 88 degrees in the cottage. This may be a place to stay only in the winter. Besides these two problems the cottage was great. The beds were not terrible (however not the greatest). The layout was perfect for our family.
