Clean house and great neighborhood. We were told the beaches were dog friendly and they are not. That was quite disappointing as we had brought our pup with us and thatâs why we booked in this area. Great neighborhood and restaurants within walking.
Beautiful area with a great hometown feel. The furniture could use some updating, but the house was clean. I absolutely loved the screened in porch. Vacasa was extremely helpful and helped with the few issues we had. I would return.
This is a nice place at a good price but bring your extras if you have to have them. The kitchen situation is minimal. If you dine out more no problem. We made a crockpot dinner one night( brought from home)and found two pans for making sides. There is a very nice skillet for breakfast but one big and one small perfect for one fried egg. 2 Small coffee cups. A set of dishes for 6. Silverware and cooking utensils are there. Youâre not making Thanksgiving here but youâll get by with making dinner. Lots of reviews mention a smell. When we first got there the air conditioning units were off. And a musty smell lingered. We think itâs because the units continuous run. Once we got them going there was no smell. They keep the house more than comfortable. They have fans. The place is clean. The furniture is old but the beds are comfy. Plenty of towels. Parking is close to the street and planterâs block you from driving up closer to the porch for unloading due to the septic system being here. But the walk isnât bad. The porch was great, the neighborhood too, close to beaches and restaurants. Union Pier Social became a new favorite. We ride e-bikes and there is so much to explore from this location. Dog friendly! We have an old man and he loved it. The back door is just a step down for him and at the end of the street is a path with encouragement to walk though to a perfect loop for a potty walk. We will rent again. 2 adults one dog.
Very clean, great amenities and home base for the area. Wish the walk to the beach was a little shorter but it's as advertised, about 11 minute walk. Screened porch was terrific.
My husband and our dog were very excited for our getaway to Union Pier. It started when we arrived. There s NOT a fenced yard! Had a difficult time getting into the house. There were other things also and after 1 evening we decided to pack our things and head back home.
You get what you pay forâŠand we didnât pay much. The home was very basic. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch and around the fire and both were excellent. The kitchen was really lacking in some usable basics like sharp knives and serving/mixing bowls.
There was an awful smell in the bunk room that never went away. We were instructed to strip the bed and boy I wish we hadnât. The pillows were so disgusting. So, maybe bring your own and come prepared to spend most of your time outside. Easy walk to all things in Union Pier.
The pictures are very accurate, including the oversized yard that is big enough to put a volleyball net and court. The screened in porch is a nice place for breakfast or an afternoon of reading.
An earlier review noted issues with the mattress in the primary bathroom. The owners must have replaced it as the mattress was very firm.
The kitchen was a little lacking in pots if you plan to cook.
