We loved the location and the fact that we were so close to everything! This was our first visit to Vail and Iâm really glad we chose to stay on the Lionshead side. It is much quieter. Our only complaint about our stay is not against the unit itself, but the building. The parking situation was a bit of a hassle when we arrived. The front desk gave us a map and showed us the two parking garage options. The first one was half reserved parking for certain units. Neither one of them had enough room for our Suburban. We ended up parking in the open parking lot across from the building. If there hadnât been any spots open in the lot, Iâm not sure what we would have done.
Unit had no a/c. 80 degrees inside. Most windows do not open, broken latches. Left bedroom windows open & wake up to an extremely loud garbage truck at 6:30am every morning. No washer or dryer. Beds have small uncomfortable pillows.
Great condo in the heart of Lionshead. Only a few steps from Born Free lift/Eagle One Gondola. The only small downside is that the nicer outdoor hot tub is in the other building. Would definitely stay here again.
Location, Location, Location. Walking distance to both villages. Beautiful view of the mountains from large balcony. Condo is clean and comfortable. Loved that they provide housekeeping daily. Pool and hot tub look newly renovated, beautiful setting.
All of the plumbing fixtures need to be replaced. The faucet in the 2nd shower is installed backwards. Master bath fixtures leak excessively. All of the lamps need to be replaced. The carpet needs to be replaced. The window blinds need to be replaced. The kitchen is in good shape.
We enjoyed this property as its clean and conveniently located. Maid service was unavailable due to covid however its was simply good to get away again. We would recommend this unit/property
The unit was lovely, modern and clean. Within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Management team was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was traffic noise. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Excellent experience. I was relieved that the property manager's failure to respond to ANY of my pre-stay emails was not reflective of the customer service of the property itself. I would imagine this property manager manages this and maybe some other condos in this location (Lionsquare Lodge) but the real people working at the property were amazing and provided top notch customer service.
Highlights:
Pool was great, (this was one of my questions to property manager- so I will give you a heads up)- no, you don't need reservations to visit the pool and your pool time will not be limited. You are expected to social distance and there is a max capacity at pool but this was never an issue- even during a summer weekend. Most guests on property were wearing masks and respectful (unfortunately the Village and hiking trails were another story)
Front desk service was excellent- young man named John very helpful, two other young men also working front desk, very professional and always helpful and cheerful- even with COVID "rules" we were able to get late check out on my husband's birthday, much appreciated!
Location! You really can't beat this location. Note: this "North" building is separate (a short walk across parking lot) from main Lodge building where restaurant and pool are. It wasn't a big deal to us.
Condo: this was more than adequate for our family of 4 with 2 teens. The kitchen/living space were LARGE and well-equipped. The 2nd bedroom is somewhat small and cramped but the en suite bathroom is a nice feature. The master is adequate. One thing to note, they do tell you in the booking that there is NO AIR conditioning but fans are provided. The condo does get very very warm during the day and even with windows open and fans on it was still too warm in bedrooms. It wasn't a deal breaker for me but just be aware.
Overall- excellent stay- I would recommend. If the property manager ignores your questions like mine, just call the front desk of the property itself!
As always, we had a great time in Vail, but this condo was not worth the price. The location was great, but amenities and decor were average. Beds were hard, and condo was surprisingly noisy - from people outside late at night and early morning truck deliveries to people tromping around in the condo above us.
