Comfortable, Well-Stocked Stay in a Great Location

We had a wonderful stay at this short-term rental! The space was beautifully decorated and looked exactly like the photos in the listing. It was incredibly well-stocked with thoughtful amenities that made our visit comfortable and easy. The kitchen was perfect—clean, functional, and even had cold bottled water and ice waiting for us in the fridge upon arrival, which was such a nice touch!The directions for check-in were clear and easy to follow. One of the best parts, especially on the hot, humid days, was having both a fan and a dehumidifier. They made a huge difference! I emptied the dehumidifier twice a day, so a quick note or instructions for guests unfamiliar with it might be helpful.Overall, I would definitely return. It was in a nice, convenient location, and my kids and I especially enjoyed being able to walk to the nearby park.

Cute and cozy

In town for a wedding. It was 5 minutes away from the venue. The place was so cute and nicely updated. Hardly heard the people upstairs. I had a very nice experience, it felt like home away from home. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in town.

Beds extremely uncomfortable

The beds in both bedrooms were so soft with metal supports it was as bad as sleeping on an old pull out sofa. They are so close to the wall that you have to walk sideways to climb into it. The couch in the living room also needs to be replaced. The lounge side was ok, the middle cushion allows you to feel its springs, and the other cushion is hard and uncomfortable. The TV is opposite the couch so it is the only viewing area. It is a renovated basement apt. You have to drive into the alleyway behind the house. We had no place to park because of the Popcorn Festival visitors used the space.

Valpo U VRBO

Great location to downtown and Valparaiso University. The place is great for 2-4 people for quick weekend. Hosts were great at communication and we would stay again for a quick weekend. It works well if you are visiting student etc.

Nicely remodeled and clean

The apt was very clean, dehumidifier was going but little musty and in my opinion it is near downtown not in downtown so a little farther from town than i thought it would be. Overall nice apt very quiet and clean.

Nice Stay

The interior of the apartment closely resembled the VRBO pictures, with good lighting and a single window unit in the living room that effectively cooled the space. It was updated and aesthetically pleasing, despite being located in the basement of the home at the back, with its own private entry. However, the exterior of the house appeared somewhat dilapidated, and the path from the front to the back was unstable, with a flickering security light making it difficult to navigate, especially for elderly individuals. The hosts were excellent at communication and very pleasant, although it would have been preferable to have parking available at the back of the house. Overall, the apartment was easy to locate.

Cute little home away from home

This apartment was the perfect size for my husband and I. We stayed for just a couple days. The kitchen was great for what we used it for. We chose not to do any cooking on this particular trip, but there is a small stove and some cookware if you're interested. The bedrooms were good size and the beds were pretty comfy. The table would make for a great game place for the two of us. We were enjoying a trip away from kids, so we ended up resting a lot and walking around the rest of the time. The only downside was that we were there on a Monday/Tuesday when a lot of places were closed. We didn't really think about it ahead of time, so that's on us! Would definitely book again.

Stayed here for our son’s VU graduation. It was a five block walk to the commencement on a beautiful day-very convenient! Close to downtown Valpo too. Check in, parking, comfortable beds, cleanliness - it was all great. Thank you!

Perfect Location to Valpo

Chad and Diana's place is close to everything you'll need in Valpo. Walkable to downtown, and any shopping needs are within a 5 minute drive. They are super responsive hosts, and we will definitely stay here again. The place was clean, updated and well stocked for anything we needed. Thank you Chad and Diana for sharing!

Cozy weekend getaway

We attended a wedding in town with family. It is a perfect apartment for visiting family/friends at the college. We love downtown Valpo. The restaurants, and shops are close and drivable by car. The description is accurate, and the owners responded in minutes if you had a question which is much appreciated.
