The airport shuttle stops pickup at a certain time of the night, which defeated the purpose of my stay. Breakfast was not much to look at. Other than that, the room and staff were good.

Staff were nice. The whole hotel is definitely in need of an upgrade renovation. Our room was very dusty, caused some allergies for my partner and I. Bathroom was missing a shower curtain upon arrival. Wifi didn’t work 90% of the time. Shower would randomly turn super cold, then super hot, never stayed at a consistent temperature. Walls were super thin and we were constantly woken up from sleep by something either from the room above us, or beside us. Probably will not stay here again.

I used the shuttle from YVR to the hotel. Most shutttles are easy to identify because they have large signage across the front of the bus so we can see who it is that is approaching. In your case, you share with another hotel which has their name on the front. On the side near the rear you have a very small, one foot by two feet sign. It is hard to read and can only be read when the shuttle is going past you. This happened even though I ran onto the street at the last second to stop the driver. He wasn't even looking for passengers, looking at the road. I used the call phone to the front desk, Ist call: no answer. 2nd call, your clerk was completely unconcerned I'd missed the shuttle. Could not even tell me when it would return until I made a third call. It was very cold and I had to stay outside so I wouldn't miss the next trip. At check in I asked is there was some compensation, say $30 refurnd for the inconvenience. Her reply, No refund. So two things, Can you fix the signage so WE can see it approaching, not as it goes past us. Second, Is there a credit or something you could provide to me? I even took a picture of the inadequate sign on the shuttle, If you want me to I can send it to you. John

I have used Abercorn for several visits when I am flying in or out of Vancouver. It’s reasonably priced, clean, has airport shuttle and in a decent area. Also has a restaurant on site. Good staff. And they provide a breakfast bag when you leave before the breakfast buffet opens
