Host was receptive. The condo is in rough shape. AC exhaust are installed using tape and particle board (I think). Couch is dirty, stove is missing front cover, and the temperature was always very warm. It was 10 degrees outside but we needed all AC units running all the time to make the condo comfortable. Pool, sauna, and gym were great. In general the condo needs some TLC.
I will start with the negative as this is what people want to know: The flat was tidy but dusty, and the bedding might have been clean but there were some stains that made it look dirty. A change of sheets found in the closet was not clean (hair and dust in it) Communication with the host was inexistent past the original "check in and check out info" email. Smoke detector was unplugged with no batteries, it is likely defective as we purchased and placed a battery in it and it was ringing when there was no smoke. Positive: All amenities listed were in working order. There was sufficient soap, shampoo etc provided. It was easy to check in, video helped navigate the parking garage, location was nice and central. Big screen TVs in all 3 rooms and in the living room.
Did not check out the pool, had issues getting the TV to work. Would appreciate more towels (and a little softer). Otherwise, apartment was clean and close to metro.
Great home for a family or for individuals who need their own sleeping space (3) bedrooms--2 queens & 1 twin and (2) washrooms, one in master and second in hallway across from other main bedroom. During these hot months, you need to open the sliding doors in the evening for a while to air out the place and hopefully get a cool breeze; the portable A/Cs were appreciated but can only do so much. There is a lot of city noise coming from the sky train and endless ambulance/fire truck sirens in this part of town. Noise is lessened when everything is closed up. Walking distance to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese garden, which is a quiet, calming place in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city. Also very close to BC Place, etc. This is in Chinatown, so you'll see a lot of folks loitering outside the building, but never did we feel unsafe; they were just doing their own thing. Great views of the city.
There was a "scheduled" power outage from 11pm to 4am, which we were not told about, my kids went to a concert that evening so getting back to no elevator service and staying on the 35th floor was absolutely Terrible! We had to walk up then back down to lwave to stay at a friends place at 1am in the mrng, i will never recommend this property to anyone, the owner's could care less about pur stay and didnt respond when asked why there no power. Never Again
Great property and location. The check in process was a little complicated, but the owner was responsive and answered all questions promptly. Would highly recommend this listing.
The place was overall clean and the view very nice. Convenient downtown location. Communicative host. Difficult to find parking garage/space. The pool/spa were undergoing a scheduled renovation and we were not notified. We paid full price and were looking forward swim in the evenings, but no pool was available. Very disappointing, as the heading of this listing advertises the pool/spa/hot tub and that's what we booked it for. We asked for a partial refund and were only given 5% back "for the inconvenience" despite the false advertising.
The battery on the door lock had run out. We called the contact and he ws able to come by in a few hours to replace the battery. We were able to go about our plans for the day without interruption.
Close to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores. The train during the night is loud even with the windows closed and on the 35th floor. Earplugs help. Balconies were lovely. Kitchen had everything (pretty plates đ.) A little tight for 7, but we all were comfortable.
My family and friends stayed one night before our cruise! What a wonderful stay! The place was clean with plenty of extras. The views and location were perfect! We walked to great spots for sites, shopping, food and drinks. Iâd highly recommend this place to stay!
Beautiful apartment, well appointed, wonderful views, close to resturants and markets.
But, the parking instructions were not clear enough, and the structure was difficult to manage. And if you encounter problems, the manager is slow to respond.
Seems like there were many fines for mistakes, way more than any other VRBO I have rented.
I probably would select a different rental property.
Overall excellent area close to transit and restaurants. Place was clean and well equipped. Great view. Enjoyed our stay would recommend this property if you are looking for a downtown location
The breathtaking view of the lights of Vancouver made up for the street and train noise. The central location allowed us to walk to the Chinese Garden and other sights we were interested in visiting, as well as eating at fabulous restaurants and cafes. It was the perfect place to start our family reunion before heading to Vancouver Island.
This property has beautiful views of all that is available to do in the Olympic village. It is close to transportation and was well equipped for our family of 7. Follow the directions to enter and it is easy.
Roomy condo for our family concert adventure. Nice location; close to the arenas, Gastown, the water. Clean and bright. Definitely noisy but thatâs the city for you!
We had a wonderful stay at the condo. Great pool and hot tub facilities. The condo is well stocked and decorated lovely. The host was very easily to get ahold of and great communication. Defiantly a gem of a place in Vancouver. Highly recommend this rental!
