Lovely old school hotel. The staff were very good, and the ability to hire bikes (for free) was excellent. Hotel is in a good location for shops and facilities. Only downside was the shower pressure was very low and there are a few vagrants sleeping rough near the hotel. Otherwise very good.

We paid, all in, almost $500 for a night for this hotel. We were stunned when we walked in. The hotel is motel-like and the room was a 250 sq foot little box of nothing. (It was clean). We've paid half that in gorgeous places with full suites like Sardinia, Sicily, the heart of Rome, and the Greek isles. When a hotel such as this is that expensive, Vancouver has lost the plot.

The front desk staff were outstanding! They were friendly and very helpful! The room was good, although the bathroom was fine, except with no counter space!

This hotel was in a good location, staff were friendly and the rooms clean and of a good size. What lets this hotel down is the windows. Not sure if it’s because it’s an older style of building, but they are so thin and you can hear everything happening on the street. Which isn’t great as there is an emergency department across the road. Currently (as of Sept 2025) there is construction a few doors up which can be heard throughout the day in the room (may not bother you if you are only sleeping there)
