Was allowed early access with owner to leave laptop in closet as we were supposed to pick up ferry pass after prior renters left, to go on ferry to private beach. Didn't want to leave laptop in hot car. She gave us ferry pass that expired the day before. I was assured by owner, back in fall, that the pass would be provided as a guaranteed perk of rental. She knew it was a Deal Breaker for US. We went to ferry and were refused by the Ferry Association. ( the pass expired 12/31/21, it was 1/1/22.) After receiving door code later that afternoon, we went to house and were hit with a heavy chemical smell, immediately opening front and back door to air out. She showed up within minutes yelling about air conditioner breaking, it hadn't even been 5 minutes since we came in. She had wet towels and i volunteered to fold and put away. A Book of rules was on counter, which I read often, so not to break any more rules!! I'm grateful we Love The Area, as the Ferry Pass promise NEVER happened over the five day period. We had changed flights at a cost and expense to go to this property and felt cheated. She wanted to give us 20% refund at first. We now feel We should be Refunded Whole Cost.
