Dream Location

This is easily one of the most beautiful houses I have stayed at. We noticed the attention to detail. It was clean, well stocked & the views were gorgeous. Our hostess was communicative. My bachelorette weekend with my closest friends was made was made even more memorable by this breathtaking location. It is well worth the windy & steep drive up to the villa but please be aware that it may be difficult for drivers to get there. One of our Uber drivers cancelled our ride because they could not find the property. Other than that, it was a great stay & I hope I can stay again someday.

Beautiful Extended Weekend with Friends & Family

We absolutely loved our stay at this secluded villa. The property exceeded our expectations, both in its description and photos. It was as if we were being hosted by a caring family member, genuinely invested in our comfort and well-being. Thoughtful welcome gifts and relaxing music greeted us upon arrival, and the breathtaking hilltop views from the back door left us in awe. We made the most of our trip with a visit to Carpinteria Beach (just a 15-minute drive away), and even hired Linda, a local yogi, for a serene yoga session under the tree in the backyard. Downtown Ojai’s shops, breweries, and restaurants were also a highlight. We had so much fun playing board games at the stunning dining table and ending our nights around the fire pit, toasting marshmallows and enjoying a glass of wine. Our three-night stay felt full of experiences, yet we could have easily spent double the time here and still discovered more to enjoy. Thank you, Laura, for your thoughtful and gracious hosting. I hope to return and would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, unforgettable getaway.

Perfect!

Our family get-away was perfect in every way. Our host, Laurie, provided great information not only about the property, but also about the area - activities, shopping, dining. We took her advice (which was spot on) and hiked, went to the beach, attended a super 4th of July fireworks show in Ventura, shopped, played games, had fun discussions, and comfortable rest. We ate out and in. The kitchen is fantastic for large gatherings. We had leisurely breakfasts while enjoying the beautiful views. We loved meeting Laurie’s father in law who lives down the hill. Every one of us ages 6-68 want to go back. There are so many lovely touches provided I’m afraid to try to mention them all because I will undoubtedly leave something out. We so appreciate the hospitality shown by Laurie and feel fortunate that she and her family share this incredible home on VRBO.

Beautiful

Our family gathered to celebrate my daughter's graduation from UCSB. It was so fun to enjoy cocktails with a view, cook, eat together in the beautiful kitchen and dining room, and wake up and do it all again. Bird-watching was a highlight! And, the hammock was glorious!

A villa 1.5 hours from LA

The photos just don't do this house justice. It's a magical spot place and I can't believe how close it is to LA. We cooked, lounged, swung, and had a cozy time. If you love to relax and hang, def consider this home! Also, its great for kids and people who karaoke. :)

Remarkable house close to Ojai

We enjoyed getting together with three families in this beautiful space within 20 min of Ojai. Beds were comfy, towels fluffy and the views were splendid. The kids loved the game room set up in the garage. Thank you for sharing your place Laurie!

The attention and care of the house and amenities offered were a really wonderful addition to an already beautiful home with a stunning view. Many wonderful areas to hang out and enjoy the scenery. We had a wonderful time and shared many laughs!

Ojai Wedding Weekend

The driveway is a bit scary but the view from the top is worth it! Great place for a family getaway. We had great grandma (87), my wife and I (early 60s), our three kids (mid 20s to early 30s) and their spouses. The place worked great for everyone! During our four day stay we drove to Santa Barbara three times and Ojai four times and it didn't seem that far. The kitchen was great, the Traeger was great, the beds were super. The game room in the garage was fun and the outside shower was remarkably useful. Laurie, our hostess, was very responsive. We had a lovely weekend and thank our hosts!

Beautiful home with an incredible view!

My friends and I love staying here for a girls’ trip! The home is stunning. Laurie is a great host and offers many great amenities within the home. The house is perfectly located between the ocean and downtown Ojai. Highly recommend staying here!

The best rental experience ever!

Our stay in this beautiful home was the best rental experience I’ve ever had! Not only in this space absolutely stunning, it is clearly well cared for and loved by the owners. Check-in and check-out was very smooth and Laurie is an excellent communicator. She’s thought of everything! We were especially grateful for the level of detail she provided - from plenty of local recommendations to clear and extensive instructions on how to reach the property. Plus tiny treats on our beds! The property itself - the pictures don’t do this home justice! We had plenty of space and our entire group slept VERY comfortably. We also had enough space to cook and eat together and spend time in the common spaces. And the views!!! You’ll feel like you have been transported to Tuscany. The driveway leading up to the home is steep as mentioned in the description - our cars were fine but the SUVs had an easier go of it. Nervous drivers may want to consider switching with someone more confident before going uphill, but it is well paved and completely manageable. We absolutely loved our stay here and it exceeded our expectations in every way. This home is perfect for both families and friend reunions. Our weekend here was our most favorite of the year so far!! You absolutely won’t regret it. We can’t wait to come back!

Beauitful house in the hills

There was a group of 6 of us and it was such a lovely and relaxing stay. The house is just like the pictures (even better) - plenty of room, great kitchen and dining space, and beautiful outdoor patios. It's a bit of a curvy drive into Ojai but worth it to have the views the house provides. Thanks Laurie for a wonderful stay!

Oasis in a Winter Storm

I will start by saying that my 12 person group experienced a storm and complete power outage within three hours of arriving to the property (apparently this was a first for the property owners and suffice it to say the outage was no fault of their own). The power did not come on until late into the second night of our stay. That being said, this is one of the best experiences I’ve had on a rental property EVER. The property is simply magical. There is not another home visible from any of the windows or property itself. PURE, lush expansive landscape. The home is beautifully appointed, spacious, and every detail is carefully considered. While we did not have electricity, we had a beautiful roaring fire and fantastic gas range stove with a well stocked kitchen, so it was still easy to cook. Laurie sent care packages over because of the inconvenience of the power outage, which was so thoughtful. She even offered to refund part of our stay, which I refused. A gentleman brought us bags of ripe avocados and oranges as well. Wonderful people, wonderful home, wonderful property. Cannot recommend enough! We all left with our hearts and souls pouring over. Thank you, Laurie!!

Chic family Christmas

This property is perfection. It’s not chess the house that’s impressive but it’s the attention to detail. Each room had slippers ,Tylenol and chocolate and each bathroom had a basket with “things you could’ve forgotten”. our family was there for Christmas and the decorations were so well thought. The host was always available for any questions. that being said, the house was just plain amazing on top of hill, overlooking the valley views all around, just sheer perfection. Def looking forward to going again!

Great stay
