Nice hotel location. Clean rooms, friendly staff and good service. There is a garage across very busy street. Very good breakfast with big verity food and pastries. Coffee ist decent but tee is simply a disaster (no idea why?) Breakfast on Weekend days is absolute mess, especially the time around 9:30-10:00 is better be avoided :(

Great hotel in the heart of the boat district, a couple blocks away from the main city plaza and undergoing light renovations that will bring it back to its glory days as the reference hotel in Veracruz

Me encantó mi estancia en este hotel. Desde la llegada, el personal brinda un trato excepcional: seguridad, recepción, limpieza, meseros y todo el equipo siempre están dispuestos a ayudar con amabilidad. El desayuno buffet es delicioso y variado; las empanadas fueron mis favoritas. Las habitaciones son amplias, con camas cómodas, televisión de buen tamaño y balcón con bonitas vistas(dependerá de cual te toque), perfectas para relajarse o tomar fotos. La limpieza diaria es impecable. Las albercas son grandes y cuentan con servicio de alimentos y bebidas, camastros cómodos, jacuzzi y una alberca climatizada ideal para días nublados. El spa, aunque con costo adicional, ofrece una experiencia muy recomendable. En recepción también apoyan con traslados al aeropuerto en taxi, lo cual es muy práctico. Como áreas de mejora, sugeriría optimizar la interfaz de la televisión, ya que actualmente solo ofrece Netflix y YouTube; sería ideal contar con más opciones de streaming y ampliar los canales de cable, pues durante la lluvia la señal se interrumpía. También sería conveniente revisar que todas las luces de las habitaciones funcionen correctamente. Para finalizar, fue una experiencia excelente, me encanto el hotel y felicito a todo el personal por su gran servicio. Sin duda, lo recomendaría en tu próxima estancia por Veracruz.

Well located, near to some restaurants and souvenirs shopping. Pools are great. We had an amazing view of the port from our room. We really disliked the service and the food at the restaurant “Condimento”. The ice machine worked maybe one out of the 4 nights we stayed. Overall the service is below average.

We have been staying at Hotel Emporio for many years, as it used to be a place we enjoyed returning to. Unfortunately, our experience has been getting worse each year, and this year was by far the most disappointing. First, the room we were given did not lock properly. We called reception five times to ask for maintenance, but no one came. As a result, we had to carry our luggage with us when leaving for a tour — something unacceptable in a hotel of this category. The dining experience was also very poor. I ordered an arrachera steak that had nothing to do with arrachera and was completely inedible. Coffee served both in the club lounge and in the restaurant tasted like a brown soup with no aroma or flavor of coffee. The wine list looks extensive, but in reality, from the many listed wines, only two were available. In addition, one of the rooms had a broken air conditioning system. Maintenance filled it with gas, which made it work for one day, only for it to fail again. All these issues together — poor service, lack of maintenance, bad food and beverage quality — made our stay extremely disappointing. It is sad to see how the hotel’s standards have declined year after year. We truly hope management takes these issues seriously, because as long-time loyal guests, we would like to see Hotel Emporio return to the level of quality it once had.
