The apartment is on the second floor of a new development and is very well appointed with everything guests need for a comfortable holiday. The open-plan living room is flooded with light thanks to panoramic windows across two walls. The far wall of the room is a full glass door that looks out over the lake and the mountains beyond. The décor is contemporary with two white sofas and a glass coffee table. The kitchen is at the other end of the space and is very well-equipped with elegant fitted wooden units and a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and a Moka coffee machine. The dining area is next to the kitchen, with a table for 4 people.

A glass door leads out from the living area to a spacious, private terrace. Here guests can dine al fresco and enjoy the stunning vista over the lake.

The apartment is in the small town of Vernate which is the gateway to Malcantone (10 minutes), a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. The lake shore is just a 5-minute drive. The Lido di Agno (7 minutes) and is an ideal spot for kayaking and swimming in the clear lake. Guests will find a selection of supermarkets in the town of Agno (5 minutes). For the freshest local produce head to the farmers market, which takes place Tuesday and Friday mornings in central Lugano (20 minutes)

Lugano is packed with things to see including MASI, The Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland, which hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. There are many delicious restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy the best of Italian and Swiss cuisines.

The closest international airports are in Italy; Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 10 minutes by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 35 minute journey.
