I was not made aware during online booking that Verona Heights was about 1.5 blocks from main office in Hotel Armando. My room was on the second floor, no elevators to get up/down two long flights of stairs which was difficult for luggage. No staff available to assist me to bring luggage up and down stairs. My room had no phone to contact main office. Checkout had to be done in Hotel Armando in person to turn in room card. Taxis not allowed in Verona Heighte which meant wheeling/carrying luggage between the two properties. When I booked my hotels through Expedia I specified ground floor room if there is no elevator if assigned to room upstairs. Staff recommended Michelin star restaurant right next to Verona Design but food was expensive and not good. Nearest restaurants were about 15-30 minutes away by foot.

Ithaca Design is an annex to a hotel: Best Western Hotel Armando, Via Dietro Pallone, 1, 37121 Verona VR, Italy. It's presumably cheaper than the hotel itself. It consists of a few rooms in an apartment building. It is a short distance away from the hotel itself, just a few minutes' walk. You check in at the hotel and the clerk gives you a key card which opens the front door to the building, the door to the rooms (1 flight of stairs up), and your own room. The desk clerk came with me to show me how it works, and even helped me carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs. They don't come in every day to make the bed; you do that yourself after the first day. Some people would want bed-making and fresh towels every day, but I didn't mind. The location is very convenient: a short walk to the historic center of Verona and to many of the university buildings.

Perfect for our family of 4 for a single night stay after the Opera in Verona. Fabulous value for money. Excellent check in assistance at the Best Western reception. Another pillow and blinds in the bedroom would have been amazing but otherwise fantastic.

Highly recommend

The apartment itself is pristine! A few bottles in the fridge and jams etc in the kitchen also has a kettle and toaster. Really quiet area but walking distance to all places of interest. Staff at the nearby hotel where you check in and out are the friendliest and most helpful we have had on our trip. Highly recommend and just wish we had been there a bit longer.

Check in with Jenny was quick and efficient, she was kind and help. That night we had a problem with our ac and at 2 am they were able to come and fix it right away. Overall great stay and yummy breakfast option in the morning.

The area the property was in was fantastic and very quiet. However the windows let through a lot of light. We found the floors dirty however we enjoyed the apartment regardless of these two points

This is a lovely, comfortable apartment. It is on the ground floor which made it easily accessible. However, there are no windows except in the bedroom and they are high up, so no natural light in the living room dining area. The location was great for me as I enjoy walking and exploring. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

A truly wonderful place to stay in Verano. Walking distance to everything, 25 minute walk to the train station, and just a few blocks to the Arena, river walk, and old city. The apartment is well equipped and spacious.

Great location friendly staff

Very clean and neat. The round bed is makes getting in out by the wall difficult. Also would have been nice if receptionist had told how the key card works the lights. Felt kind of the fool when we had to ask how to turn on the lights.
