The room is quiet and have a renovated shower as well as kitchen counter. The shower is a bit tricky. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Bedford Regency.

It's a decent place, old, but clean. My room didn't have a sink in the bathroom, so I could not shave. And the elevator is quite small, making it difficult to get my bicycle in to take it to my room.

This was my second stay here. I can't praise enough the location (ground zero for the attractions) and price (always reasonable, regardless of season) along with the main draw: in-suite wood fireplaces. We were upgraded to a better room yet again when there were issues with amenities (first time, it was the TV; this time, the fridge). Outside of the random amenity not working, the facilities are pretty reliable despite their age and authentic decor. For the suites facing Langley street on the west side, traffic sound can be heard on the first floor, but the fourth floor was pretty quiet. If I want a pad that is walking distance to everything in downtown Victoria and happen to desire evenings with the crackle and waft of a wood fire between October and May, this is where I will continue to be.
