This property certainly has potential. However, it also still needs work. As we pulled into the driveway to park around back, the front area was overgrown with weeds. Around back, there were piles of construction trash (boards and plastic buckets) and through the window into the lower level, we could see piles of supplies, packages with kitchen knives, and cleaning equipment. The house was only accessible via a full set of stairs, (with a top stair larger than standard and at an angle, making entrance more difficult) which made it difficult for one of our party who has arthritis in her hip. The description didnât mention this or we would have chosen a different lodging. The main door in is thin and wooden with an upside down and small bolt lock. It did not give us great confidence of safety. The bathroom door is also old and wooden and only stays shut when latched with a small bolt lock. One of the bedrooms had a keyed hasp lock ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ROOMâŠthis made me very uncomfortable as someone could lock us INTO the room. Another bedroom had window blinds that were metal and bent in such a way as to make it impossible to completely block the view through the window. Overall, if we had seen the property as it appeared to us, we would have chosen another place.
