We loved Casa de Colores! None of our group of 10 had ever been to Vieques, and Travis was very helpful with tips before our arrival and Cheo was wonderful upon our arrival at Casa de Colores. Everything was exactly as advertised, except no photos can do justice to the stunning views from the rooftop or the magical sounds of nature as you lounge in the pool. The home had everything we needed and is perfectly situated to everything you would ever want to do on the island. We managed to get to many of the beaches (a couple of them twice), but there was still so much left to explore. We will absolutely be returning and will make Case de Colores our home base again! Thank you!

He really enjoyed our stay at Casa de Colores. Easy check-in. All bedrooms where very comfortable. We where a group of 10, including 2 small children and everyone enjoy every space of the house, including the great pool and the upstairs terrace that has an incredible view of the ocean and the Bay. At night, we had a wonderful “moon bath”! Wifi worked perfect and the communication with all our hosts (Travis, Kelly and Cheo was great. Thanks for all the details and let us stay at your place.

Great place in great location

Great house with amazing amenities in a great location. We traveled as a family of 9, and Casa de Colores was a great place to spread out and enjoy ourselves.The house has so many amenities, it's hard to even mention them all. Coolers, beach towels, chairs, boogie boards and snorkels for the beach. Shopping bags for groceries. Sonos speakers on both patios, logged in to multiple paid streaming services. Dozens of puzzles and games. Yoga mats. Anything you could want in the kitchen - coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, stand mixer, pots, pans, baking dishes, food storage, etc. We had a power outage and even managed to find a stove top percolator so we could still have morning coffee!There are folding glass patio doors across the entire back of the main house on both levels, so you can let in the breeze and easily move between inside and out. This was especially nice between the kitchen and lower patio. All the doors have magnetic screens so you don't have to worry about bugs.The location is great - about equidistant between Isabel II and Esperanza, so it's convenient to all of the restaurants and shops. Super close to the entrance of the wildlife refuge. There's a colmado close with all the basics.The property managers are fantastic. Super helpful before and during the trip.We'll definitely choose Casa de Colores again when we return to Vieques!

The place us beautiful. The view is great. The house cleanliness is not so good. The pool needs cleaning, the drainage was blocked, I did clean it myself. Kitchen drainage was slow, air conditioning in one room change temperature automaticaly. The service from the Manager and owner was really good. But in overall, jouse needs maintenance and cleanliness.

Beautiful property, great communication

Casa de Colores was ideal for our group of 11. The layout offered tons of privacy, while at the same time making gathering easy and natural with all the rooms organized around a central kitchen, living room, and swimming area. The hosts were amazing, extremely responsive and helpful from the day of booking, leading up to the stay, and at check-in when we were personally greeted, given a walkthrough of the property, and given some tips about nearby restaurants, beachea, and activities. The hosts even checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok, see if we had any questions, etc. The house was beautiful, just like in the listing, and well stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Paradise for couples trip

We arrived on the island a few hours before we were supposed to check in but Cheo met us there and they were finished cleaning early so we were able to drop our things off and set off to a near by beach. They have literally everything you need there! The communication with cheo and Kelly was just the icing on the cake. Made you truly feel like family (I’m just so sad I didn’t get to meet Kelly!). They gave wonderful recommendations for food and fun. The drive way was an adventure - be sure to rent a jeep or other high clearance vehicle to help with your scraping fears lol. Tons of beach equipment and the way the house was separated made it feel like everyone had their own private abode. Will recommend this place for years to come. Travis, the owner, is also incredibly nice, accommodating, and in touch with you. Can’t wait to visit again!!

A Heavenly Oasis

The pictures and video are beautiful, but they don’t capture with justice the serenity and captivating beauty of this spacious house with more than enough room for our family of 9. It’s conveniently centrally located on Vieques, so it does not take more than 5-10 minutes to get to either Isabel II or Esperanza. The owner Travis reached out to make sure we had everything we needed, and told us about the games, beach chairs, coolers, and other fun stuff that could be used at the beach. We felt very well cared for well beyond our expectations, and We we will most definitely be back!

We’re going back!

Perfect setting for 5 adults and 6 children. Good location that was convenient to most things, lots of space so we weren’t on top of each other, pool was a lot of fun, managers were responsive and easy to reach, and view from the top is spectacular. My friends and I stayed at Casa de Colores when visiting Vieques for a wedding. It exceeded our expectations, the house and property are incredible, pictures do not do it justice. It has the most amazing view from the expansive roof deck, a private pool that is stunning, plenty of outdoor space and privacy for multiple guests. It's also a close drive to many beaches and in town areas with restaurants, etc. Travis and Kelly were both so helpful and accommodating with any and all questions we had prior to and during our stay. I would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again one day!

Amazing property

This property was amazing! It is fully stocked with everything you need from new beach chairs, nice yeti cups- even a margaritaville blender. It has so many nice touches that make it so comfortable to stay there. The owner Travis was in contact to see if we needed anything. This house is well cared for. Kelly and Cheo were great to work with as well. The view from the upstairs deck is the best we’ve seen in the ten years we’ve been visiting the island. All of the beds were comfortable and our large group had plenty of room to spread out. This is a great location- very central to everything you want to do on the island. The pool is beautiful! I recommend 4 wheel drive to park here, the driveway is steep but we were able to make it work. Look forward to returning!

This place was great. We only had four of us, and had lots of room, but it was a fantastic time. The Margarita machine made fantastic smoothies for all. Cheo and Kelly were very helpful and accommodating. Jut the right distance from either town. Loved the place.

A Fabulous Time in Paradise

Casa Colores was the perfect retreat for our family get together. It’s beautiful with stunning views; spacious to allow private time and areas for family gatherings; fully equipped kitchen; beautifully landscaped where you can sit and enjoy nature; a lovely pool that is not only visually pleasing but a place for fun and relaxation; and it is well located to beaches and restaurants. We were always surprised at what we found, such as coolers and water toys to take to the beach! There are so many great memories from our stay: watching a beautiful sunrise from the upper deck, listening to the sounds of birds and frogs, sharing Xmas dinner on the patio.

Beautiful house, exactly as advertised

Two families vacationed together here, and the house was perfect for us. The views are sensational, the property manager is very helpful, and the house comes fully stocked with everything you need to cook, play games on the deck, or head to the beach. We had kids ranging from 12 to 17, and it worked well for us -- but for the reasons mentioned in the property description (4 of the 5 bedrooms have an external door), I wouldn't recommend this for young children. It's not a far drive to restaurants and activities, but you certainly want a car if you stay here (and, given the sloped driveway, the higher the clearance on the car, the better).

Extraordinary, Beautiful, Comfortable, Luxurious

We are experienced VRBO renters, and just have to say that this is one of the absolute BEST properties we've ever stayed in. If anything, the pictures simply do not do the view and comfort of Casa de Colores justice. We were a group of seven: three couples, and another friend. What was so wonderful about the house (besides all the comforts and beauty) was that everybody had their own space and privacy, while also being able to very easily congregate for meals, stargazing, and just hanging out. Casa de Colores is excellently appointed inside and out. One thing we particularly appreciated was all the comfortable places to sit and gather. The owners also have all kinds of beach supplies available, and they are easy to get to. The security of the house is very easy to operate, and we had absolutely no problems at all with anything. As noted in many other reviews, the property managers are fantastic. Cheo and Kelly do an outstanding job, and are first rate resources for all manner of information regarding Vieques. If you're not familiar with the island, the house's location is ideal. It's so easy to get to both Isabel Segunda and Esperanza, and very close to so many of the beaches, stores, and other things of interest. At the same time, Casa de Colores is not on a main road, and is incredibly quiet at night. Cannot say enough good things about this very special place. We're already planning our return!

Perfect stay at Casa de Colores

Our family (a bunch of Puerto Ricans now mainly living on US mainland) had a perfect stay at Casa de Colores last week. We spent our Thanksgiving vacation in Vieques after my sister's wedding in San Juan the weekend before, and the house provided everyone with the best combination of rest, time together, and adventure. We loved that there were private rooms/bathrooms for all - and that the "living area" was outside so that we could hang out together enjoying the sun and the incredible views. The house is clean and stocked with great beach supplies, and the proximity to the reserve (with the most amazing beaches!) is awesome. Communication with the property owner and managers was seamless. Kelly, the property manager, recommended a wonderful local woman from whom we ordered our Thanksgiving food, which meant we were able to enjoy the beach all day and not have to worry about rushing to cook nor to catch a reservation. Cheo showed us the ropes upon arrival and answered all of our questions, and Travis checked in during the week and offered amazing recommendations. We are already wanting to plan our next stay!

Vieques is beautiful, the house needs some work

We loved our trip to Vieques, but it was not without troubles. The pool and landscaping of the house is stunning. The interior had some issues. The upstairs A/C wasn’t working so the master bedroom was really super hot since there is no other A/C in the main house. Smoke detector alarms were going off consistently throughout the trip and scared my kids so much that we ended up having to sleep with them. The dishwasher broke and was not able to be fixed during our 7 day stay. We had a few encounters with mice including a dying one that was caught in a trap and a dead one that smelled horrible. the hot water heater only lasted about 1 minute at a time and the downstairs bathroom had an entire nest/swarm of mosquitos that I had to attempt to fumigate bc it was the only bathroom not part of someone’s bedroom. For those traveling with kids: The only tv in the house wasn’t usable bc there wasn’t a remote to turn it on and even though we brought a fire stick, the volume was stuck on high. The door lock system is confusing and the house is quite disjointed so make sure your kids are ready for some independence. We brought monitors but the WiFi would go in and out consistently so we ended up bunking together most of the time. The dryer broke on our last day and we had to travel with wet clothes. The kitchen is well stocked and functional overall, but we had a chef come and cook a few times and it was SO hot in there. The overspill water from the pool / rain water stays standing at a good 2-3 inches high right by the steps down to the other part of the house and we slipped a few times. The beds are very very firm. There are a bunch of roosters on the property right behind the house so utilize the sound machines because they start crowing at 2am. Now onto the good things : the view, the pool, the landscaping, the overall decor of the house, the communication with the property manager (bless her for having to deal with all these issues during our stay). Once some of these things were fixed, we just sucked up the rest and moved on. Vieques is an adventure and don’t let my experience deter you from staying here at Casa Colores, just double check that these items have been fixed and remedied so you can enjoy your vacation and not deal with these things. Kelly was amazing and as helpful as she could be. The property owner was also responsive and apologetic. It seemed everything went out at once and I hope they are able to fix it ASAP!

Excellent stay

It was an awesome experience. Property was very clean, awesome view and very well equipped. You will have all you need for beach time and very well equipped kitchen if you are planning to cook. Driveway is very limited and hard to access but is another space on the property to park. This is a very nice property for a large group.

Amazing Vacation

Our property managers, Kelly and Cheo were great. Their warm welcome and suggestions helped our family have our first Post COVID vacation. We usually stay in Pilon, but I have to say this location was so convenient and picturesque. The house was appointed with everything you need from coolers, beach chairs, and umbrellas to the kitchen pans and bowls for making a full dinner around the pool. The upper deck was amazing and you could find my kids sitting around the lower level by the pool at all hours. A/C was an added plus that we never have had before. Can't go wrong with this house!
