Cette belle maison a Ă©tĂ© construite en 2010 avec un mur de fenĂȘtres affichant des vues panoramiques sur la baie du Delaware. Si vous cherchez calme, de dĂ©tente et de magnifiques couchers de soleil, cet endroit est pour vous. SituĂ© Ă  seulement 9 miles au nord du centre-ville de Cape May et 8 miles Ă  l'est de Diamond Beach, Wildwood, il y a beaucoup d'activitĂ©s pour tout le monde dans votre parti. Pour les amoureux de la nature, apportez vos jumelles pour observer les balbuzards, les aigles et autres oiseaux indigĂšnes Ă  Cape May. Lancez votre propre kayak Ă  marĂ©e haute de notre plage ou faire de longues promenades avec votre chien.

L'eau est trĂšs peu profonde et trĂšs amusant Ă  creuser conques dans la barre de sable Ă  marĂ©e basse. Pour les membres de la famille qui prĂ©fĂšrent un peu plus d'action, conduire Ă  la ville vers le bas Cape May pour le shopping, les restaurants et la natation dans l'ocĂ©an. We had a rough start to the stay. The code the host gave us for check-in did not work to open the door. I nor VRBO could reach the host for a different code. We ended up booking a hotel room for the first night, which was a challenge with two young children. The host didn't return calls until after 10pm. He was apologetic, but it really soured the start to our vacation and we lost a day. VRBO did give us a partial refund. The views in the home are absolutely gorgeous and it was nice to be right on the water with a beach. However it would have been nice to know the bay water isn't really swimmable or safe to walk in due to high numbers of jellyfish. My kids couldn't even play at the edge of the water because they were washing up constantly. The beach was covered with about 30 dead horseshoe crabs which smelled terrible and was a bit upsetting to the kids. The home really does not have much in terms of supplies or amenities. It was the least equipped home I've ever stayed in, which was surprising for the cost. The listing stated towels & linens weren't included, which is a hassle but was at least stated. The only thing supplied were a few rolls of toilet paper. No hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, dishwasher pods, sponges, washing detergent, paper towels, etc. The sand bars at low tide were very cool and my older child loved walking them and catching hermit crabs. I'm not sure if I would return. The home really isn't set up for families and barely feels set up for guests.

Beautiful Sunsets

Stayed 3 nights for a girl's trip. The house is spacious and clean. Close to attractions such as downtown Cape May and wineries. Our favorite part was watching the sunset over the bay each night. Would recommend!

This was our second time spending spring break in this beautiful house. It suits our family so well, with lots of space to spread out and also be together. The views and beach are breathtaking. John is a wonderful host, immediately attentive if we needed anything. Thank you so much.

Before I start I want to say we did get a full refund. But we should have never been allowed to book the property. Before we arrived the property owner mentioned the heat wasn't working well but that he provided space heaters (more on that later). When we arrived the house is right on the water and the views were breath taking. But the house itself and the property left much to be desired. Initially walking in we found at-least lol a dozen alive & dead wasps. Along with another dozen live lady bugs crawling on the walls. When we opened the refrigerator a very gross and pungent smell came pouring out. Along with mold growing on the shelves. Upon calling the owner he said he MIGHT be able to get someone out the next day, which was Christmas Eve. And he also said maybe we could go to Wawa and get ice for the cooler. And that the cleaners were there the day before. Also the space heaters were so small they wouldn't have made a difference in the freezing downstairs. And on top of it all there was a camera in the main living area. The owner said we could put a cup over it, but I thought having camera was against VRBO policy. Clearly he was not caring for the property in the way we expected. We were so grossed out and uncomfortable we left the property and took our business elsewhere.

Birding trip fall migration

Celebrating our 50th Anniversary with our family

A week with our daughter’s & preschool granddaughters, who loved exploring the extensive low tide sandbars and seeing the horseshoe crabs and laughing gulls. Lots of local restaurants and services and only a 20 minute drive to Wildwood and Cape May.

Beautiful sunset over the Delaware Bay vacation

Beautiful property and beautiful views of the bay-sunsets, pelicans, an eagle and other birds. Only problem I had was with my GPS which did not want to put the address in to come to and from the property, so just put in a business nearby to get back and forth from Cape May. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Nice quiet location

We enjoyed staying here. It was what we were looking for- on the quiet side of Cape May, lots of wildlife ( we spotted bald eagles, a coyote, many seabirds and tons of bunnies!) The neighborhood was peaceful, the house is nicely set up and was clean. The owner was responsive and we had a great time here.

Stunning Property, Majestic Views

We had an amazing time, thank you John for allowing us to stay in your home. The house was exactly as described, but better. The views are amazing throughout the house and the perfect décor in each room. We brought our dog who also loved everything about this property. The stairs are carpeted which made it easy for her to get up and down since she has a bad leg. We saw the resident eagle, many seagulls and egret. The bay at low tide is so cool, it recedes where you are able to walk out about 400 feet. Just like the song says, sitting on the dock of the Bay, watching the tide roll away.

Beautiful trip!

Our family had such a wonderful week. The house was impeccably clean with anything we needed. The location is heaven, quiet and very private feeling. Views of the bay and sunsets we even better than we hoped. Highly recommended.
