Overall it was nice, great view, although the shades in our room were broken which we didn't realize till late in the evening. As the sun rose, it filled our bedroom with light, waking everybody up at the crack of dawn. I did let the staff know, and they were apologetic and gave us complimentary breakfast vouchers.

Overall experience was great. Loved having refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The location was also great! However, the pool was very small and the water appeared cloudy. The food at the bar and grill was good.

The hotel stay was good. My only issue was parking. There's very lil parking onsite and very lil parking at the offsite parking. Guest shouldn't have to worry about beating others to a parking spot.

Excellent stay, the staff was super-helpful. Very well managed surrounds. Bar and restaurant in the building is super convenient. The shops across the street is a big plus. The pool did feel like a sauna, when it is 90 degrees outside. Also had to ask for extra towels, which could have been provided upfront. The reservation for 4 was made months ahead.

This was my family and mynfirst time staying here. We came for the fireworks 🎆 and had a front row seat being on the 12th floor. The view was absolutely amazing! The hotel is centrally located right in the midst of all the action and in walking distance to great food, entertainment and activities. I loved that we were ocean front and easily accessed the beach daily! Only complaint is no private room for the suite booking. The rep said they follow am open floor plan concept. Having the main room separate from the kids would've made this a 5 star review. Nevertheless, we made it work in the shower and times the teen took them to the beach or pool😏. Great family vacation location and we will be returning.

It was alright, it’s an older building… was suppose to have a high floor and ended up on the first floor, brought the matter to the front desk and they were fully booked for the night. AC unit in room was really loud and leaked water all over the balcony. People next to us smoking cigarettes outside so everyone on our floor basically got threatened with a letter first thing in the morning saying if there’s “evidence” that they will charge us $250. The thing was we’re not smokers but when we got there and went outside on the balcony there looked to be old cigarettes everywhere on the ground. I liked the restaurant at the hotel, the water in the lobby, convenience of walking everywhere, and being right on the beach. I don’t think I’d stay here again

Discrepancy/Refund Request hotel reservation

July 2, 2025 I really need to speak to a 'live' Hotels.com agent. I booked Holiday Inn IHG through Hotels.com.several montgs ago payable through Klarna. However, when I got to the hotel for check-in on Thursday, June 26, 2025, the Holiday Inn IHG couldnot process the entirety of my stay. They shared that the 1st night charges could be authorized, but not the entire hotel stay. The hotel allowed me to stay the 1st night but said that the problem with the Hotel.com/ Klarna payment had to be resolved by the next day or I would have to pay out of pocket. I attempted to reach out to Klarna for 3 hours but couldnot get the issue resolved and in fact, Klarna said that I would have to contact Hotel.com to get to the bottom of this. I attempted to do so. But coukdnot getva suitable response. Not to mention that I simultaneously was coordinating an event. Initially the financial card that was on file through Klarna to book this reservation had to be deleted and replaced with an updated card because was reported lost. Though the updated card was in Klarnas system, the payment still didnot go through. Again Klarna said that I would have to resolve the matter tgrough Hotel.com. I ended having to pay $403.05 out of pocket for my reservation. I need to be refunded the amount that was not charged to your company but paid out of pocket amount becauseI am already paying the Holiday Inn IHG fee of $1200 through Klarna. The woman who checked us in was an absolute legend! Her customer service was beyond amazing and on point. She did not miss a beat even while I was trying to juggle two hungry kids, an ornery husband, and a motorcycle helmet! The room was comfortable and peaceful. And how do you go wrong with the view of the ocean?

Vacation stay

It was right on the beach making it super easy since we had tons of stuff to take to spend the whole day relaxing. Bring chairs and ur own umbrella cuz u have to rent em if u don’t have em. I thought they was included with the little stay and I was wrong. It was in the center of the boardwalk very nice to spend a day walking each way shopping for souvenirs. (The boardwalk runs from 2nd to 40th street the motels on 21st street). The staff was super friendly, there was a restaurant in the motel offering buffet breakfast and dinner in the evenings. The motel was very clean!!!! All rooms have a balcony and ocean view from 2nd floor up. Laundry room is offered but I didn’t use it. Shampoo conditioner and shower gel was supplied in case u forget to pack urs. We had a friends vacation and I would defiantly stay here again if I make it back to Virginia beach
