My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront was outstanding. The property was genuinely clean from the lobby to the room, and housekeeping clearly pays attention to details that matter—fresh linens, spotless bathroom, and no stale odors. The location on the riverfront makes the whole place quiet and calm at night, which is a big plus if you’re traveling for work or just need real rest. Parking was easy every day, well lit, and close to the entrance, so the property felt safe coming in late. There are solid dining options on site and nearby, and the bar and breakfast service were fresh, organized, and staffed by people who actually care about customer service. The hotel is also convenient to shopping and the downtown area without dealing with traffic headaches. Overall, this is a well-maintained Hilton with professional staff, a comfortable layout, and the kind of consistency you expect from the brand. I’d stay here again without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone needing a reliable place in the Suffolk area.

The room had no shampoo or conditioner for our morning shower (they corrected later that day). Our room was situated over the entrance so we heard music 24-7 (it took us awhile to figure out it was from the entrance not the person below us). You had to turn on the A/C to keep the room at a comfortable temperature, otherwise, it was 80 degrees in the room. (bonus, it drowned out the music). The side door security entrance wasn't locked so anyone could enter the premises. We've been going for 5 years. It keeps going down.

I grew up in Suffolk and moved away due to joining the military. Often times when I cme back home i would stay at this establishment because it was nice and clean. However, that is no longer the case. The 3rd floor hall smells like animal urine. It was a horrible smell. The carpet in my room was dirty as well. The toilet did not flush unless you held the flusher down. I will not be staying here again.
