This property was one of the most comfortable and visually stunning places we have stayed. The house had plenty of space, great antique furniture, numerous places to sit and read, comfortable beds, and great porches that looked out on a beautiful setting of tree ferns and 'O'hia trees. Especially stunning were the Jack Jefferies photos of birds. (We are bird people and know folks to know Jack well.) The location was perfect for us, next to the national park and near the town of Volcano. Hilo is not that far away for food and restaurants. (We did not want to be in Kona!) Several other pluses: plenty of towels, a hot tub, a grill, and an extra clean house.
