Beautiful house with beautiful views. They had a lot of things not listed- pack n play, high chair, beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, etc. for use. It was super helpful since we didnât (couldnât) travel with much of that. The house was also well stocked with all necessary supplies (dishwasher soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc). As some of the other reviewers said, the verification process requiring your license and credit card number after booking is a little much- something Iâve definitely never encountered on any other rental, but the management team was super friendly and checked in several times during our stay to make sure we didnât need anything else. Would definitely stay again.
House was very clean and everything worked. This place is a bit out of the way on the west side of Oahu, and it is a bit of travel to some restaurants and shops, but it offered some seclusion with the gated entry. Of note: the property is managed by company that had some requirements to submit copies of ID and CC info just days prior to our arrival which we found a bit concerning. Had this been in the ad we would have been prepared, but with the little warning it caught us off guard.
The home was beautiful, clean, well decorated, and very comfortable. There was plenty of space for our family of 5. The mountain views were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked. The beach towels and equipment were very nice to have available. However, the location is terrible. The actual subdivision is nice and safe because it is gated, but it is in a bad part of town. The homeless population was very large in the area. We had to drive to much farther beaches because of it. Most of the things you are going to want to see or do on Oahu are at least 45 minutes to 1 and 1/2 hours away from the house and traffic is terrible. If you can splurge and stay closer to Honululu, or the polynesian cultural center or the dole plantion, your trip will be much less stressful with a lot less commuting. The check in process wasn't great, but when we had some issues we messaged and the property managers were fast and responsive which we appreciated. Overal it was a very nice stay, but not an excellent one.
We had a great stay at this vacation rental! The home was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The fully equipped kitchen, fresh towels, and provided toiletries were all much appreciated. There was plenty of sleeping space for our group, and the overall community felt safe and welcoming. The location was fantasticâclose to beautiful beaches and convenient for exploring the west side of the Island. We also had a rental care and were able to explore other parts of Oahu without too much driving. Communication with the management team was excellent; they were always prompt and helpful in addressing any questions. If you are looking to explore the island and not be confined to one resort or hotel this is the way to go!While we did notice a prevalent homeless population on the west side of the island, this did not impact our experience in any way, and we never felt unsafe. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend this rental to others!
Loved the house! Amazing views and very clean. I do wish that it had an outside grill but we absolutely loved the location of this house. I will say that I had a very difficult time checking in and signing papers which is not a typical thing I have dealt with when using VRBO. But I would stay at this house again hands down if ever get the chance to visit Hawaii again
Great place, well equipped with a beautiful neighbourhood. Downside is it is far from everything. Expect 40+min drives to everything.
Also the management company apparently has a damage fee that they separately charge you - not sure if this is even allowed but they wouldnt let us check in without paying it so we had no option that late notice.
This place is AMAZING. They had beach essentials in garage, place was clean, ac was amazing, the view was spectacular. We plan on staying in this exact house again.
We even left extra boogie boards, swim shoes and goggles.
Overall, really great neighborhood to stay in was very quiet and serene with beautiful mountain and ocean views. the only reason It did not get five stars across-the-board was that when we arrived, we were told that the AC wasnât working. The property manager was quickly able to move us to a different location.
Be mindful that pretty much all of the other scenic parts of the island are one plus hours away
The house was clean and nice but, the area was not what you would want for a Hawaiian Vacation. It was so far from everything. Traffic was always a mess so the 20 to 30 minute drive to Waikiki that is described was a lie. The beaches nearby were all overtaken by the homeless population.
We stayed here for a week with our 5 kids and the home was perfect for our family! The location was beautiful, it was just a little different experience driving through Wainea to and from the property every time we needed to go anywhere, but we were never bothered by anyone and we found the most beautiful beach just 10 minutes from the property that was clean and had almost nobody on it - and perfect for watching sunsets! The property managers were very good to work with, they responded quickly and were good to resolve and questions we had. I did like that the community was gated and we had to have a pass to get in.
The house was amazing. The A/C was a definite plus in the Hawaii heat. If I could suggest anything I would add more chairs/seating in living room around TV. The orange ottomans are useless for sitting. And a BBQ would be nice to have as well. Other than that we were very comfortable at the house and made use of all the games in the garage in the evenings. There are quite a few homeless people in town and at the beaches but we never felt unsafe. We ate in every night so I cant speak to any local restaurants. We went to Mermaid Cave which was nice and also went out on the local Dolphin Excursion and saw quite a few. We spent quite a few days at Turtle Beach which the kids loved and there were turtles everyday up on the beach and swimming close to shore.
This was a very nice place to stay. The guarded gate and service made it feel safe. The house was decorated in a Hawaiian feel. It had everything you could need for a vacation. Only downfall was the drive to get to any of the islands other activities but most places are a drive anyways. I would give this place a ten out of ten and would easily stay here again. So kudos to whoever runs this unit. Thank you..
Really Beautiful Property. Close to the best beach.
This property was amazing. Really clean and had everything we needed. The Beach that is nearby is beautiful. However the property is quite far from other things on the island. At least an hour to anything in Honolulu and 1.5 hours to Laie and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Very beautiful home, accurate to the pictures that were advertised, great communication with host. We had a problem with the shower and they came and fixed it very promptly. Had lots to do while we were at the home. Loved that the location was less populated and away from the city life but it was a far drive to any of the tourist attractions. Wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again!
This property was awesome and the Marbella Lane teams was excellent and quick to respond to messages at all times!
This place was beautiful and is exactly as pictured! They even had the toys in the garage for all the kids! And there was a high chair and a pack n play if you have small kids!
The house was clean and beautiful. The location is great. Security at the gate were so nice and check in and out was perfect. Coming and going was never an issue!
I will gladly rent from any Marbella Lane properties again!
Beautiful newly build home just as advertised. Communication to host was prompt. Would recommend this property and host for future stays to others and would absolutely consider another stay.
