Fantastic little inn set in the scenic Green Mountains. Check in and out was super easy with text/digital communication. The common areas of the in are beautiful and accommodating with plenty of seating areas inside an out to enjoy the seasonal setting. I will absolutely be staying again!
We were disappointed that very little was offered in the way of amenities such as breakfast tea. Our room had a patio/balcony that we couldnât use exit would set off an alarm. Our room was on the second floor and the stairs were very steep. The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. The wi-fi was very spotty and kept cutting out. On the good side, our hostess provided ice for my husband who has a fractured ankle. She was very pleasant. There really wasnât anything to eat for breakfast so it would be nice if even a continental breakfast was offered.
The lodge was located in very rural mountains area and the landscape was beautiful and scenic. The property was well kept however they need to consider upgrading their electrical system. The staff were very attentive and responsive to our needs. While they conducted a subway and advised us of the situation in the area. Or needs to be said about the lack of food options or even a general store. But overall, we had a wonderful time in the area was absolutely beautiful.
Be prepared to take your life in your hands attempting to ascend the 6 inch deep mud slop covering the hill driveway during the spring. With deep ditches to either side, it was a terrifying experience.
We stayed at the Lodge for three days and never saw a human who identified as working there, so donât expect any in-person assistance or questions answered. There is no food apart from some pay-as-you-go snacks in the lobby.
Worst of all, when my child had a ski accident and we needed to cut our vacation short, Tucker Hill Lodge informed us over text that they would offer no credit or refund for the three remaining nights on our booking. I suppose itâs easy to have such a shockingly unkind policy when you hide your entire staff behind texting and never need to look anyone in the eye.
Rooms are cramped.
The room and especially the bed were comfortable. The only complaint is a noisy family arrived around midnight and woke me up. Itâs not the hotelâs fault but the inconsiderate guests.
Tucker Hill is a quintessential New England Inn. It is historic, cozy, and clean with very comfortable beds. It has a charming, traditional feel to the shared spaces, and is in a quiet neighborhood in a very quaint, ski-adjacent town that has plenty of with restaurants.
