Great Stay for DC Vacation

This was a great place for our Washington DC vacation. Located in the historic Bloomingdale neighborhood near the Metro which was a short walk west on T Street.

My stay at Tichi’s was amazing. The space was exactly as described, very clean. She communicates quickly and efficiently. It was a great stay and would recommend and do plan to stay again soon.

Perfect home away from home.

We had a great time there. Everything was VERY CLEAN and we had our privacy as well. Due to Covid we didn’t have contact to the landlord besides once, and the lady was super sweet and friendly. Overall I had a wonderful time in DC and am glad to have picked this location for my stay. If you want privacy, a close location to many of the historical areas, and more importantly, a clean place to stay during your Washington DC visit, than this location would be the perfect choice. I will definitely booking it again if should be going to DC again.

Great property. Safe, secure and immaculate. Great DC location. Close to HU. You know! A short uber drive to most DC haunts. Also, fun neighborhood--walkable or bikeable. But do note: the description of the property is accurate. Its a downstairs unit with folks living upstairs. This may not be the spot for everyone. Perfect for 2 max.

NOISY !!!!!

Host family lived above unit and were extremely loud at times, I.e. 2-3 am, 6-7am! Had a rambunctious 2 year old running about on uncarpeted hardwood floor! Tv control were very confusing! Lacking some basics: salt/pepper, coffee filters, heat thermostat. Hosts were very pleasant and unit was fine.

Pleasant stay..except for...

Convenient location, quiet neighborhood, spacious, attractive and well maintained property. The listing does state that the owners and child live above the basement property, however, if a person is not accustomed to that type of situation it is off-putting as it was very loud and disruptive. Was a bit shocked at the "additional charges" fee, the 'extra guest' fee (the property lists as accommodating four people and there were three of us), plus a 'service fee' on top of the expected taxes and cleaning fee and damage insurance. Have not experienced that in the many other locations stayed, perhaps it's a DC policy? A pm was sent to the owners to suggest items that we had need of but did not come across. Except for those issues, our visit to the Nation's Capitol was memorable.

Great location. Walkable neighborhood. Great Stay!

We stayed in this basement apartment to be close to Howard University as we moved our son in for his Freshman year. Cute tree lined street, walking distance to restaurants, bars and the University. Also easy inexpensive Lyft ride to downtown to explore all the monuments and the rich history of our Nations Capitol city. Although we went during a heat wave and temps were in the high 90’s the A/C in the unit worked so well we were happy we had brought some clothes to keep us warm when we returned in the evenings. Comfy bed and cute decor. Owner was upfront about having a small child in the unit above and I was prepared with ear plugs for those early morning get up and get out the door times. Great stay. It was close to everything we needed and we would happily stay here again.

Great, clean home!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The home had everything we needed and was very clean. We had a baby with us and the rental offered a crib, toys, and baby books. Located on a quiet street, a few good restaurants and cafes closeby. 15-20 min walk to Shaw neighborhood, 20-25 min walk to Logan Circle. Recommend this rental!

Nice little apartment

The apartment was very clean. All appliances worked. Host left snacks for us including a bottle of wine. Very nice and quiet neighborhood although the walk from the metro station takes you through some sketchy neighborhoods so I recommend ubering to the place especially if u are females traveling alone.

We had a good stay

The house was nice. I will say the pictures do make the bedroom and bathroom look a little bigger than they are. The listing also says it’s a queen sized bed and I don’t think it was. It seemed like a full sized bed. The people in the above apartment were a little loud too, I’m not sure if it was the owners or renters but we were woken up every morning at 6 from the baby crying, someone walking around in heels?, and vacumning at like 7am. Which usually would not bother me at all (I’ve been nannying for a couple of years) but if that was the family who owns the apartment, I just feel like that should be put in the description. They did leave snacks and board games which was nice!! And like the said in the description the house is kept very clean! Other than that though, we enjoyed our stay and I would reccomend it to other people.

A Comfortable Stay with Friends!

Tchi was a very friendly and responsive host. The place is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The place was just as nice and clean as in the photos. The towels were fluffy and it was a nice touch to have snacks and coffee available! It was easy to get to DC with a quick Uber ride. We were there during the spring, so it was cold at night, but the place has space heaters to warm up the rooms to a comfortable temperature. I would highly recommend this place to my friends!

Beautiful place to stay

This was the first trip to DC for my wife and me. The property listing was exactly as described. The neighborhood is nice and not far from all the sites to see. The host of the property went out of her way to make us feel welcome. There were welcome snacks and drinks when we arrived which was a really cool touch. We were very comfortable in this house and if we travel back to DC in the future we would gladly stay here again!

We had such a nice time staying here! It was so clean and smelled so nice! They had everything they said they did and they were so helpful with any questions! House is located at a very good and safe location and we found parking so close to the house! The apartment was so cute and homey and I would reccomend it to anyone!
