Everything was excellent! The only thing was that the hit waves were affecting the AC system so for instance the AC unit wasn’t really functioning as it should so the room was hot… but other than that everything was excellent!

Incredible design and staff…

Had a wonderful stay at CitizenM. Everyone is super friendly and I love the design of the hotel and the rooms. This location is very convenient to the metro station (L’Enfant) and I bought a pass online and took metro from Dulles and the train everywhere during my stay. It’s about ten minute walk to a beautiful new waterfront with tons of restaurants and great views.

Worst experience at a hotel ever.

The room was smaller than expected. They give you an iPad to control the room temperature, but it doesn't do anything. I called to get it fixed and they said they had my room pulled up and they brought the temp down for me and to call back in 15 minutes if it doesn't cool down. 15 minutes went by and no change. I went to the lobby to let them know it still wasn't working. The front desk attendant was on the phone with someone else going over the same script, but they weren't anywhere near a screen when they said they had their room pulled up and turned the temp down for them. I was appalled. They eventually gave me a fan to stay cool. I woke up to a puddle of water on the floor from the a/c. Upon reviewing past reviews on the web, apparently this is not the first time this happened. Just the worst experience. A sweltering hot tiny room. Oh not to mention the bed is in a corner and you have to climb over your partner to get out.

We were staying as part of our honeymoon. Had excellent experiences with Citizen M in the past. The staff were friendly and helpful. Was advised not long after checking into our room by a service engineer that our A/c had been leaking and was quickly fixed. However the room never really cooled down from then. Other than this issue the lobby and food were fantastic. Also the checkout was seamless.

The air conditioning was out upon our arrival and we were not informed. The next day after heading out for the morning, there was water on the countertop and floor. When we called the desk we were told that was good it meant the air was going to start working and that they would send someone to mop up. While someone did come to mop up the drip from the exchange continued for the next 2.5 days we were there. The air never worked well the entire time we were there. The layout of the room while small was good for me and my spouse. Anyone else and it might have been awkward.

Great locat

The hotel is in a great location- near a metro stop and the Smithsonian museums. The room was comfortable, aside from the fact that the air conditioning wasn’t working during a heat wave. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Perfect for solo travelers or couples - would not book if you are traveling with a large party or family or need some space from your travel companion as the rooms are pretty much like small studios. Otherwise, very cozy with a view with a king sized bed. Check-in was really quick and easy and the room/sheets/towels were very clean. The ipad was so fun to use to adjust lighting and make requests (cleaning service, ordering food) if needed. Also, very close to the Metro station if you want to go sightseeing around DC. Loved it - will stay there again when I come back.

Overall it was fine but the air conditioning was not working very well so it was hard to sleep at night and there was a constant water puddle in our room because there was water leaking from the ceiling. They did have someone come and look at it but it did not fix the problem. We were constantly having to step around the water puddle in the room.

The air conditioning wasn’t working we switched rooms and it still wasn’t working. There was water dripping from the ceiling. We asked for a fan 3 times due to the mugginess and the lack of air conditioning each time they said they would bring it up and no one ever did.
