Very clean space, amazing location on a quiet street near lots of good restaurants. The host family lives above with children so it could be a little noisy in the morning for sensitive sleepers, but otherwise 10/10.
Very nice basement apartment in Mt. Pleasant area. Walking distance to many options. Parking is a challenge but we were able to navigate it and neighborhood was shady and family friendly.
All good other than inability to get thermostat to raise the temperature. Was 68 when we arrived. Despite multiple attempts to reset the thermostat, could not get the â measuredâ temp above 72. This actually felt like 65, and was a massive waste of energy. It was 96-98 outside, so I am happy it was too cold vs too hot. But needed to wear sweatshirts to keep warm. Otherwise a lovely place to stay.
The property was perfect for our family of 4 with separate bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a fully stocked kitchen and nice living room/dining room. It was two blocks to a main road with restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. 1/2 mile walk to the metro was very convenient. Parking was on the street and tough to find a spot depending on the time of day. Our only complaint was there was only one washcloth and towel per person so we had to do laundry every day so they were clean. Stackable units in the apt worked good though. We really enjoyed our stay.
We absolutely loved the apartment, inside and out. Designed and furnished so well, everything was top notch. Two beautiful bedrooms and two bathrooms in a stunning house on a spectacular street in Mt. Pleasant!
Lovely apartment in a quaint neighborhood. Beautifully decorated and a comfortable sleep. Only issue is we could not figure out how to open the patio door in the first bedroom.
Pristinely clean apartment. Made extensive Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dishes. Kitchen was extremely well equipped for a rental property. Especially helpful were the heavy bottomed Emeril series pots and pans, as well as the 5 burner gas range and oven. Really appreciated all of that since we made a ton of food!
We made a last minute weekend trip since we had to pick up our daughter at the Dulles Airport on a Monday afternoon. This basement home was super cute, spacious, and clean. Very little noise from upstairs, but it was nice that the owner already mentioned that there might be some noise in the advertised listing so we knew to possibly expect it. Loved the complimentary coffee brand/flavor. Would have loved to have had some nearby restaurant recommendations. We went to Beau Thai and really enjoyed the food. We walked to the nearby metro both days to go into Washington. There are a lot of homeless people on Mt. Pleasant Street, along with a lot of restaurant patrons, so if you are uncomfortable with that you should take an Uber. Would definitely try to stay here again.
The apartment was as others have reported regarding positive neighborhood, upstairs noise, awesome cleanliness. The plastic cooking utensils are a negative and are worn out. The management company was immediately responsive to all needs and questions, especially when the electronic door lock malfunctioned but the trouble shooting was immediate and problem resolved. The billing process with VRBO was deceptive and we feel the management company should work with them to make it more transparent that you are charged an ADDITIONAL $115 directly from the management company after you have already been billed by VRBO for what you are supposed to be paying. That factor cast a negative vibe on our whole experience and neither entity was willing to understand the situation about the hidden cost.
A family visit with my adult children in a cute up and coming neighborhood. The homes in the neighborhood, and this one in particular, are lovely. This apartment was very thoughtfully created and is very comfortable and well located.
The location of this home is great. Walking distance from restaurants and close to all the tourist attractions in the area. The only con is the parking.... We parked the car and did ride share.
My stay here was very comfortable. The space had items that we needed, the beds were comfy and the location was ideal. We walked most places to get food to eat and the options were endless. The rental owners were communicative and prompt.
The entire process start to finish was seamless. The apartment was clean, well stocked and intuitive. I would definitely stay there again when visiting DC.
My friend & I stayed 4 nights in this delightful hideaway.
We each wanted our own bedroom & bathroom, so it worked out well. The unit is updated beautifully and has a full kitchen; pots, pans, dishes, silverware glassware etc. dishwasher, washer & dryer. Beds were comfy.
Very quiet and walkable, friendly neighborhood with mini mart and restaurants a couple blocks away.
I would definitely re t here again.
Lara was great and responsive when I had a question.
Street parking is hit or miss, but we hit it right every time!
Clean, spacious, updated apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Great space for 2 couples or small family. Close to zoo, restaurants and shops. Easy access to public transportation. We had a great long weekend stay!
The 2 bed 2 bath garden level unit was a pleasant surprise! Bright light with easy access from street! Lots of supplies and well appointed kitchen. The property management team was outstanding! The communication was prompt and super helpful! The unit is quiet with not much sound from people in unit above this space. Great places to walk and shop, so when we return we would stay again!
All as advertised. Very clean and well appointed. As mentioned in the listing it can get noisy in the morning with the children upstairs. But this place is recommended.
