Needs renovation

Hotel is old needed renovation i been to few holiday inn hotel and nothing like this. House keeping keep it clean everyday very hard working employee they are trying to maintain the cleanliness but the condition of the room is just old needed a full renovation. Carpet old, bathroom needs new toilet and tub, sink faucet not closing properly. There is a lot of things to change upgrade and built hoping the hotel can make changes and spend money for renovation. My rate is 2.5 out of 5 due to im not happy with my stay also food is expensive $26 for breakfast buffet adult my other son 9 yrs old free but i recommend just go to mcdonalds for your meal its just right next to the hotel. First night i have to call front desk to complain about smoke detector possible broken. Hotel staff/front desk friendly very helpful. My price per night is $163 i booked from aug.18-22 M-F decent price compare to other hotel this is cheaper will save you extra money. Holiday inn is really close to the museum few minutes walk to air and space museum maybe 10 mins. walk to gallery of art museum. Between this beautiful big museum is the national mall a huge park where all memorial and museum are connected i only mention this 2 museum because they are really outstanding out of all that we seen. Honest opinion i will pay extra $50 for a better hotel im sure you will find one i will not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is very convenient to walk to the tourist area and museums. The hotel was very clean and had good security. The room was cleaned each day and breakfast buffet was large with excellent foods and options. Starbucks was located connected to the hotel which was very nice, but I still feel that coffee should be complimentary from all large chain hotels, unfortunately it was not at this location. There is a restaurant in the hotel, a few food options were available with a short walk, but not alot of quality food options were available in the immediate area. I would recommend this hotel due to easy access to the metro rail, busses, taxi service, a walkable area or the option to utilize bike/scooter share which makes navigation through the area convenient and possible. We enjoyed our 4 day stay and would recommend this location to others.

I did not have my car on this trip. I was in NYC and took the train to DC. It was great. All Smithsonian museums were walkable. The only thing was the pool was empty. Wish I could have swam while there, but enjoyed it any way.

Our room was near railroad tracks and they offered to change our room but noise was not to much for us. Staff is super nice and helpful. Location to transit and national mall is exceptional. Starbucks in lobby and decent bar and grill with good food. Overall a pretty nice stay.

This hotel is in a perfect location if you are going to the National Mall. There are plenty of food options in the hotel as well as a McDonalds and Starbucks on the same block. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Roof top pool was a nice place to relax and the pool bar is the MVP! Rooms are spacious and lots of counter space. Bed was comfortable and the water pressure was great and plenty of hot water. I had a great stay and can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Holiday Inn Staff!
