This was a last minute, few day getaway with our teens before the school year gets off and running. It was perfect⊠starting with easy and prompt initial communication to all of the very thoughtful and intentional amenities provided! The location was wonderfully remote and private with the convenience of the general store for items forgotten, lunch and ice cream. Being so near the rail trail and good fishing in the Big Pine creek provided something for all of us. Thank you and we hope to return!
Everything was seamless. Owners were responsive to my emails, and provided everything I needed before I arrived. Walked into a place that was all set and ready for us. Fantastic location, friendly people, nothing in the world like the Pine Creek gorge. Thank you for having us!
The cabin is comfortable with lots of upgrades. The kitchen is completely outfitted and makes meal prep very easy. The bathroom was very modern and the shower with two options was very relaxing at the end of the day. And the beds were very comfortable for a good night's sleep. The location is in easy walking distance to the Rail Trail, the community park, the general store and the Waterville Hotel for a great dinner.
Our stay here was superb! To begin with Jason was an amazing host. He answered all of our questions so promptly and cheerfully. In fact he was our tour guide as well!! He had lots of information on fishing, dining, biking and must see places. The cabin was very clean, well furnished, comfortable and quiet. Right on the river and next to the trail it was a paradise for my wife and I. We love to bike and was able to cover most of the trail. And to top it off you can walk to some great soft service ice cream!! We would recommend this host and this cabin to everyone!!
This property is nestled in a beautiful spot in PA - a little-known but very nice location. It was a perfect mix of secluded/quiet and close to ammenities like the Waterville Hotel and Restaurant, McConnell's Country Store, a beautiful town park, and a few options of golf courses and other things to do. We really enjoyed the scenery, the river flowing behind the place, and the proximity to the state park which offered wonderful views, wildlife, fishing, and walking. Overall, this place was perfect for our purposes of a chill weekend at a cottage, and I highly recommend!
We loved our stay. The cabin has a great mix of old charm with updated amenities. It is nestled right by the rail trail along the river. Our kids particularly loved the deck space that was gated in as well as the bunk beds. We truly enjoyed the slow pace that Waterville, PA provides. We spent time biking the rail trail, wading in the river, and enjoyed countless hours as the community park. If you have kids, this park has everything they are looking forâfrom swings to slides to even a zip line! The waterville hotel has great food and the general store was perfect for any last minute needs. This cabin gives you the solitude of being out in the woods of PA but still close enough to drive out to experience other towns and attractions-The Grand Canyon of PA, Clyde Peeling's Reptiland, Little Pine State Park and more. We will miss the rail trail, the park, the views and hearing the river right from the living room. Thank you for our stay. Hoping to be back some day.
If youâre looking for a cabin close to everything, this is your stay. You can easily walk to the Waterville Hotel right out of the door, and the country store is right by the property too! We stayed with our 4 year old son, and the convenience of having the rail trail and the beautiful park in the back was wonderful! The cabin was cozy, and we loved the comfy couches, and watching the stream from the living room. Our son also enjoyed the games and legos. The bedrooms are small, so if youâre going with a group, keep that in mind. Also, some lamps would be nice in the bedrooms instead of the overhead bright lights later at night, and maybe some hooks in the bigger bedroom to help offset not having a closet, but other than that, the property was great for us.
We had a great time at this cabin. Enjoyed the deck overlooking the creek. Access to the bike trail could not be closer. Fishing is available from the back yard. Enjoyed cooking on the Blackstone grille. Family time at the fire pit.
It was clean and well stocked. Beds were not very comfy but overall we had a nice time. Check in was very easy. Creek is 30 feet away was nice for fishing.
Lovely location, convenient location, nice to be near the corner store. Near the highway but with ac in the house we never had an issue with noise. The location is right on the creek which is a huge bonus. Very relaxing to sit by the fire at night and hear the creek. Literally 20 feet from the rail trail!
Fantastic location right on the trail and the water. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nicely appointed, and the kitchen was well-furnished. The reclining lounge chairs were just what we needed after biking in The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. We'd certainly stay here again!
This cozy cabin along the creek was the perfect Pine Creek retreat. Jason did a great job on making this place a comfortable stay. The living area has a beautiful view of the creek (which was all the way into the backyard this weekend)! The Waterville Tavern is next door for a quick meal. The pellet stove was perfect to anneal my body after a hard day on the trail. I hope to stay here again! Thank you.
Great location and responsive owner. The Waterville tavern was across the street and had excellent food and service. A beautiful family friendly park was steps away. Jason cares about your guest experience evident in his communication and well stocked home. We will be back!
