Needs Work

The front desk was not usually manned, so had to ring a bell for serivice. The front desk was dimly lit and not welcoming. The room was fine and comfortable; however, the shower was awful with little water for descent shower or washing hair. Skimpy breakfast bar, only waffles, cold cereal and some pastries. We ate out. Luckily we had a first floor room. No elevator or automatic front doors to facilitate moving luggage. We had no housekeeping service for our two night stay. At the price we paid we should have gotten more. This could be an excellent hotel if the deficiencies I noted were corrected. They have no competition now but a competitor would give them a run for the money.

15 minutes to airport

Mid-August, flew into Madison airport and drove 15 minutes to hotel. Older hotel that’s been remodeled a few years ago. Late check-in was no problem. Quiet room with comfy king bed on 2nd floor. Note - there is no elevator so you haul your bags upstairs. The desk person offered to help. Room was clean. Air conditioner worked well. Breakfast needs improvement - it’s a basic continental breakfast with waffle machine. I’d stay again for the travel convenience, price and comfort.

A $30 early check-in fee for an hour & 1/2 earlier was ridiculous. I was attending a wedding & which started at 2:30 and the shuttle from the hotel was set to leave by 1:30 to make it to the venue for the ceremony. Also, the bathroom floor was sticky in my room.

No frills, clean hotel

The staff was professional and courteous; we had no issues with check-in or check-out. The room was clean. The property was clean. Breakfast offerings were sufficient. The pool was a good size and the pool area was clean. The fitness center was a small room with a few cardio machines and a bench. The location was great for accessing Madison and the university. Culver’s is located conveniently right next store. Our stay was satisfactory.

Great location, quiet and close to downtown. Very easy to get to the dells and Madison. A lot of good restaurants close by. Very friendly and helpful staff! Breakfast options were limited but all fresh and delicious. Quality over quantity was appreciated. The pool looked very nice. Would definitely stay here again!
