Perfect house for a big family!

We were in town for a NYE wedding and this house was perfect for multiple families of all ages! The game room was a huge hit with the younger kids and the fireplace was so so cozy. The host was very responsive and easy to get ahold of.

Relaxing stay in Wautoma

Even though it rained most of the time it was a beautiful home and very clean so was fine to be stuck in the house playing games and relaxing. Lots of fun things for the kids to do inside the house. The lake was too weedy right off the dock to swim, but we rented a pontoon and swam in the middle of the lake instead and at the public beach. Very happy with our stay.

Great Stay - Quiet area

We were there for relaxation and fun. Great Area - used the Kayaks on the Lake and there is an Amish Community close. Enjoyed our time on the deck with a heater at night. Great place for our group!

Winter Getaway

No one could have planned the -30 temperatures when we went, so that meant we were literally holed up inside the house all weekend. But what a perfect house to be stuck in!! The kids played nonstop upstairs in the loft area-running around and playing tag. We all played shuffleboard, skee ball and ping pong. We played tons of family games and just overall had a great weekend of family bonding! Cheryl was so quick to answer and questions we had. I’d definitely recommend this place, and we already talked about heading back again possibly for a warm weather getaway in the future! Great space for big gatherings!

Family weekend at the lake

The interior of the house was very clean and space was great. Well stocked with everything you need. Unfortunately the seating on the upper deck was soaked and we could not use. The paddle boat and kayaks were filled with water and dirt. Had to clean them all out. We rented a pontoon and it could be tied to house dock which was nice. It is not a swimmable area by dock. Overall, we enjoyed the house.

Magical rental

This was one of the BEST rentals I’ve ever stayed in. The house was unreal. Magical. And so perfect for our group. We didn’t want to leave. The host was phenom was well. Just a great Greta experience.

Lovely and on the Lake

This place is very nice. It has 5 almost identical bedrooms with one larger bedroom. A group of friends and I stayed here for a long weekend in February. The views were really nice and the kitchen was mostly stocked. Could use a non stick pan and sponge, we bought salt and pepper and left it there. Make sure to turn on the baseboard heat in the bedrooms or you will be cold. Cheryl was quick getting back to me throughout the trip. The couches and chairs were comfy and the overall feel was relaxing.

Fantastic place and location

Family 40th birthday celebration

The property is wonderful for a large group because it has three separate and distinct areas of the house! the basement has a game room with ping pong table and a very comfortable couch for sleeping and a big screen TV ! The main level holds the kitchen and the dining room table and couch which becomes the focus of the house; and a third floor that has a TV and sitting area with great views of the lake! It was nice to have that room upstairs to head to when you felt like a little time away from the hubbub of activity!! Fire pit area was great! It’s not located on a lake that you can use for swimming but there’s kayaks and paddleboard if you want to get out on the water and we found the beach right on that lake and it was very close: some folks took kayaks to the beach and some of us drove, it was great😎

Perfect Labor Day Weekend!

We had the best time staying at Talihaven!! The property was beautiful and Cheryl is an amazing host. She was always a message away and even got her hot tub up and running especially for us before we arrived. We didn’t want to leave and hope to return next summer!

Fantastic family lake house

This was the best house we have rented. Cheryl was very responsive and she didn’t miss a thing in the house to help our stay go so smoothly. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Our family was celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary. It was an amazing time and an amazingly perfect property to very comfortably fit 14 of us! Thanks Cheryl!!

Family vacation

We really enjoyed the stay. Communication with Cheryl was excellent! Kayaks & game room were used daily. (Many tournaments went on throughout the weekend). A bit uneven ground to get to the water, could be tougher for seniors and toddlers. Beautiful house, kitchen well stocked and very clean. Thanks Cheryl!

Highly recommend this beautiful property! The owner has truly put her heart into this home. Everything was well maintained and beautifully decorated. So many extras throughout. We could not have picked a more perfect venue for our annual girls weekend. Will definitely be back!

Great summer getaway…

We had a group of 11 staying at the house. The amount of space was perfect. The coffee bar was a fave and the kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed. With Wautoma only about 15 minutes away, we were close to any supplies needed. The teens in our group really enjoyed the game room and hot tub! Plenty of kayaks available for us to use, and we used them often. Communication with owner was only needed a couple of times, and responses came very fast. We really enjoyed the house and would absolutely go back!

We truly liked the house

Our fault, but we missed the fact that this is not a swimming lake. With a 3 and 9 year old, frontage was not the best. We did find a solution. Swam in emerald lake abd visited Big Silver. It was a great solution. House was so fun. The house was great. We used the games and game room a lit. Kitchen very well equipped. Deck was great for fun and meals.

Perfect "up North" getaway!

The house was perfect - clean, well-stocked, amazing amenities, comfy beds/furniture, extra fridge, plenty of room to spare for our extended family. The kids loved the loft and the lower level, the adults enjoyed the view from the huge deck and new firepit. We rented a pontoon from Blackhawk Marine, very easy, they dropped it off and 5 minutes later we were at the house. Kids tubed on the lake to right and floated in the lake to the left, everyone loved the kayaks, the lake was like glass and so peaceful. Most of our meals were at the house(everything we needed was there!)and Wautoma (15 min) has a really nice grocery store, Stoneridge Piggly Wiggly. We enjoyed pizza delivered from Christiano's one night and went to the Moose Inn for old-fashioneds and Friday night fish fry followed by ice cream at the Milty Wilty. We also enjoyed a round of golf at Waushara Country Club, very fun course and juniors were free! The kids tried the beach in the next lake and a hike on the trails by Nordic Mountain with some cool stands of pines. Cheryl is an amazing host, super responsive and made everything easy, highly recommend Talihaven if you are looking for the "Up North" experience!

Guys Annual Golf Trip.

Had a blast with the boys on our annual golf & fun trip. Everyone liked the set up & cleanliness. Fairly easy to get there from town. They thought of about everything in the place. I personally loved the coffee bar in the morning. Freshly ground from the grinder & several levels of roasts.
