Nice older home with lots of character. Poorly maintained and many lights out. Downstairs kitchen lights didnât even work. Tennis court in disrepair. All the entertaining features are non operational.
things never addressed, NO T.V. no repairs made after a call 2x HVAC not working, no towels and washrags for 11 adults as stated in amenities' towels and linen furnished no washer or dryer downstairs stated in amenities no adequate covers due to AC unit not working. then your list of things to do when leaving, empty trash10 miles away. we left earlier than what we paid for. $$$$monies
This beautiful, uniquely decorated place provided our family a great place to stay and enjoy time together. We spent countless hours in the outside spaces. For us, the couch and 4 chair set up around the gas fire pit, overlooking the mountains was was the biggest highlight of the house. Also, we were left plenty of propane so that was a plus. We also enjoyed the tennis courts and hot tub. Upon arrival, we encountered one bedroom not being usable due to a recent water damage, but a refund was issued to rectify the situation. So, I appreciated the customer service on that.
Beautiful home with various colors, themes, furniture and artwork. Everything is as described. Lots of living space. We had a great time and plan to return!
The place is so close to being awesome but the lack of maintenance really shows! 1) We were given a gate code, the gate was not closed when we arrived nor did it ever close we fretted it might close on us at anytime. 2) the koi pond constantly leaks over the entrance way. 3) way too many light switches that seem to do nothing, labels are easy 4) guidance on the house surround system would be nice, never could figure out the downstairs and it was the third day before finding the controls for upstairs. Also would be helpful to dispose of all the old remotes and components. It is just confusing.5) were never able to get the TVs to work in any of the downstairs bedrooms the garage loft bedroom and the master bedroom. 6). The sliding glass doors and decks that were off limits were very inconvenient 7). The basement bedroom with twin beds had a blind in such a tangle it could not be lowered. 8) The dishwasher near the sink has a broken mechanism on the soap/pod dispenser. 9) the master bedroom was horrible! TV did not work, lights and heater in the commode room would not turn on, we used a flashlight. No power in the outlets. The GFI plug was tripped but would not reset. No lights in the closet either. Mold in multiple places in the shower. And the mattress was so broken down and hollow in the middle that we would roll into it and could not move away from each other. Finally the antiquated toilet had to hold handle for 10 seconds. There is more but your field limits length
Perfectly wonderful property. Accommodated 10 people comfortably with no issues. The grounds are spectacular and the back porch with its view of the mountains is out of this world. Would recommend this property highly!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! We had 7 people in our group and we had so much fun hanging out together. Each person had their own bed and just a few had to share a bathroom. We learned that the thermostat for the two bedrooms on the main level is in the living room. There was no hot water in the kitchen, the baseball room downstairs or in the apartment above the garage. The shower drain was super slow in the bedroom main level on the left. We have notified management of all of these things. Just wanted to let you know in case they are not fixed before you come. None of these things damped and our time together. We thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs area where we were able to hang out, play pool, darts and have drinks together. We enjoyed the kitchen table where we played games and had lots and lots of laughs. We enjoy the spaciousness of the house and how everyone had their own place to go when it was time to go to bed. Awesome place to stay!!
The house and grounds were beautiful. Although it had a wonderful view of the mountains it was still not too far from a grocery store, the dump and restaurants. There were wonderful adventures within 45 minutes drive. Unfortunately there were not enough towels, toilet paper and one bed was unmade. And there was no laundry detergent. There were minor issues in the house that need repair. But we enjoyed our stay.
We loved our week in Waynesville staying at this fantastic property! The layout of the house is perfect for bigger families. A huge plus is that there are 2 bedrooms with private baths on the entry level so my 85 year old parents never had to use stairs! The view from the back deck is breathtaking and the sunsets amazing. Probably the cleanest house weâve ever rented. Close to Asheville, tubing in Canton, and the waterfall trail. Perfect week!
This home is beautiful and unique! We all "claimed" our own bedroom. We had plenty of lounging/play spaces. We spent beautiful sunrises and sunsets overlooking the wonderful mountains. Had relaxing moments in the hot tub. This home is laidout very well for our family. The home is full of unique, unusual, beautiful artwork and sculptures, we kept seeing new things as the week went by. The grounds around this home were just wonderful to explore with our grandson.
The whole family wanted to purchase this home!!
But Please update the bed sizes in the home and we could not find additional blankets that were needed in a couple of the bedrooms towards the end of our trip when it got cooler at night.
Otherwise, we loved the house and our time there creating wonderful memories. Thank you!!
Gorgeous views. It snowed lightly the first night and that made it all even more immaculate. Extremely spacious, we all felt at home and accommodated for our large 12 member family. We really appreciated that they allowed us to bring our pet along for our weekend gateway. Private rooms were very comfortable and the common areas easily facilitated our large family bonding. We enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next visit.
Great house, we really enjoyed our visit. I would however recommend more hand towels in the kitchen, towels, hot tub towels, and updated/ larger pots and pan options. We had a large group and had a hard time cooking with the small pans. We also felt more instructions should have been given. We didn't know where to take the trash, the alarm beeped all night, we were unsure of what needed to be done before departing, etc. I think a list would have helped. Other than these few things we had a great time!
This was a beautiful property on top of a big hill overlooking the mountains. Plenty of space in a funky house. Could have used a makeover but overall a wonderful home to share and it held the bunch of us with ease. Hot-tub and tennis courts were a bonus! Thanks!
The grounds are stunning and the home is stately. Amazing artwork inside and out - a feast for the senses. Every possible amenity is available upstairs and down. The apartment above the garage is a hidden gem. The digital systems (WiFi, satellite TV, whole-house audio, and security system) throughout the estate are surpurb. Hard to choose whether to spend time outside on the amazing vaulted porch around the cozy fire pit overlooking the entire valley, OR to take advantage of one of several gathering areas indoors by the fireplace, TV, bar, or game room. Why choose? We loved it all!
Five adult couples. House was in good shape and as described. Slept 10 adults with no problem. A beautiful property and a good value for the accommodations.
This house was perfect for our family. Itâs very spacious and private with beautiful views. The kitchen is large and well stocked and we loved sitting out on the deck with the fire pit on enjoying the mountain view. If visiting in winter months, make sure your vehicle can go up the icy mountain roads. The road needed to be salted. Great house for a large family. We loved staying here and would definitely rent this house again.
