There is no way to describe how perfect the cottage and land is!! Alan was an amazing host even leaving a gift and the sweetest card since he knew we were on our honeymoon. The cottage is perfectly stocked with absolutely anything you might need. The back porch is the icing on the cake, we spent most of our time out there just enjoying the peacefulness. My kids came to visit and we had a blast in the peddle boat and kayak. If you arenât staying here you are missing out!!
We really enjoyed our stay our host had everything we needed and more the house was very clean and comfortably we very much enjoyed our self watching all the critters in the water we only caught one fish but it was fun.
The cottage and property were a perfect, peaceful retreat! Alan was an amazing host - excellent communication and gracious hospitality. The cottage was clean and cozy. The porch and lake view are so serene and calming. I will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay and we were very impressed with the house. It looks like they just finished construction. And they didn't do it on the cheap like other rentals I've seen. The covered parking attached to the patio means you don't get wet coming and going in the rain. The outdoor patio furniture looked high end. Again, much better than other rentals I've seen. Even the bath towels we soft and comfy. This is a prime location if you like thhe outdoors or plan on using the lake or river. House is in a marshy area of the lake, and the river is right across the street. You can see it through the neighbors yards. The host, Alan, made sure I was always informed and was very responsive when I reached out. He knew it was our anniversary and left us a little gift. Thank you Alan! I would definitely rent this property, or another property from Alan.
We stayed Fri-Sun. Communication was super fast & just excellent! We were going to see Cody Johnson in Arlington and this was a last minute stay & they were very prompt. We were a little nervous as we got closer to the property because the surrounding homes are a bit run down and the streets are pretty rough and muddy. However, once we arrived, it was probably the nicest place (along with the tiny home next door) on the street. So dont let it fool you! It was so quiet and peaceful, the lake is right off the back patio and the neighbors were never seen, our three days there. There were a few snacks on the counter and in the cabinet, movies, smart tv, books, and a notebook with suggestions for your stay. The couch and queen bed were both very comfortable. Closet was a great size. There were a few towels, wash cloths, blow dryer, and toiletries in the home for your use if need be, which we did not, but it was a nice touch. My husband is a neat freak when it comes to his clothes, and there was not an iron and we forgot to grab ours, so we did have to make a walmart run for that. Only other heads up, the ice maker nor the water dispenser on the fridge work, and the freezer drawer would not open. So I suggest you do take a cooler/ice chest with ice. All in all, it was a great stay and we are already planning another trip, but would like to try the tiny home next time! Def go have breakfast at Mary's Brazos cafe! I felt like my mom had made me breakfast, it was great!
