Very handily located for a late flight arrival. Room comfortable and clean. Booking was in my name (unmarried female) staff repeatedly spoke only to my male partner calling him by my name. He was told how to check in and where to stand and then I was advised I could sit down “over there” ( I had just walked off a 17 hour flight - it was not as inviting as it may have sounded) well meaning all of this but very 20th century in terms of approach. Food service quite slow and wine list by a the glass quite limited ( I just had a coke in the end). Food hot but very salty (I could only eat a proportion of mine). Breakfast excellent clearly a strength. Car park ticket for barrier on leaving didn’t work, had to run back to hotel and leave the car at the barrier and was told to join the back of the check in queue to get it sorted. Will probably look for other options for next Heathrow flight in August as I didn’t find this experience (for me) merited the hotel rating or price (as I was the booker and payer for this particular bill) but good to know it’s there in case of emergencies.

Disappointing check in. Bed however is amazing

We checked in very late but hotel said on check in they were ready for us and the room was ready. However it wasn’t. The bed wasn’t made, the sofa bed wasn’t laid out and no towels. We went to reception, took 30 mins for them to come to the room. Asked for another room which they said they didn’t have, it was just an awful check in experience. Finally someone came and tidied the room.
