Family Reunion

In town for a family reunion. This was a perfect home for our immediate family to stay while getting to go and visit extended family. Close to all the things we were doing throughout the weekend. Glad we decided against not beinging our trailer of kayaks as it would have been difficult to manage the trailer with the driveway and parking. Definitely will consider this house again with no kayaks in tow.

Amazing view mountains

The view of the mountains is amazing, we really enjoyed, so beautiful, but the house looks no very clean specially the basement smelled like old and a lot humidity, also at night it was roaches running in the kitchen, poor light outside, finally they lie because in the website it’s look like the house has propane gas grill but they don’t have it . Beside that it was great for relaxing.

Our house this year was so spacious and the view was the best we have ever had!! Having 4 full baths was definitely a plus!!! The house was very clean and perfect for our family of 11 plus our dog! He loved the fenced in area . Our annual tubing outing and trip to the cheeses factory and store were once again a success. The visit to Old Barn Winery is one we will repeat in years to come.

Warming family fun and togetherness

I have two children with families. My daughter 3 grown children and 2 younger ones by 2nd husband. My son has 2 teenage children. My husband and I retired. This vacation is as the best family vacation I have ever had. Cold rainy and foggy with two nights together in a beautiful cabin. We enjoyed each other together with games and trip or two into hot tub. Few trips into town for food - very close and little shopping and site seeing. When you don’t have sun or snow you can still have a good time in a beautiful cabin like Rest Assured

The view was beautiful and atmosphere was very calming. Cabin was well supplied. Some things that need attention are: look out for protruding nail heads on some deck and railing boards if you have children (suggest bringing a hammer), cabin floor could use a thorough cleaning. Dirt and dust bunnies under the sofa and tables. Some of the towels were tattered and should be upgraded. All of these are minor issues and easily fixed. I would recommend this cabin to anyone for a restful get away. It's less than 10 minutes from downtown West Jefferson which has many great shops and restaurants to enjoy.

Town is only about 10-15 minutes away with some great shops, breweries and even had some great sushi! The management company was very quick to jump on a small issue with the shower. I can’t say enough about the great communication from the management company and how kind they were to deal with. As for the house, some furniture needed some love but for the most part was perfect for the style.

Thankfully the Carolina Mtn property staff Missy and Jennifer kept us informed on weather conditions and ultimately decided to switch us to a safer location before we arrived. The cabin was much larger than we planned but was just as lovely. Very clean, beautiful views from the porches. Easy driveway and parking, and it’s really close to downtown! Our friends were so jealous. So now we’re planning to book this cabin in the future for a group trip!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was great. The only complaint was that it was a bit cluttered (particularly the kitchen). This was both good and bad. We had all of the appliances, dishes and cooking utensils that we could ever need. However, It made it difficult to store the food items that we brought. Otherwise, the bed (we stayed in the upstairs master) was comfy and shower was great. We really enjoyed the time by the fireplace and there was plenty of seating to accommodate all of us. The parking situation was a bit challenging for the number of vehicles we had but we managed it with a little practice! Thanks for sharing the house with us!

The toilet on main floor had to be adjusted to work properly, the carbon monoxide detector went off because of faulty battery or unit, this was a little scary not knowing if there was a carbon monoxide issue. Heater in basement did not work. There was a leak above from the ceiling in the kitchen above the sink.

My Husband and I were able to stay on the Main Level with our 2 Four-Legged Fur Babies (our 2 dogs - Toy Maltese and Shorkipoo). Rest Assured has an Awesome Back Porch with Rockers for the Renters enjoyment and Lots of Beautiful Mountain Views. This Rental is within minutes to West Jefferson & Jefferson, and 25 to 30 minutes to Boone. Lots of Wonderful Restaurants to Eat at and Lot of Shops for Shopping within minutes. The Old Barn Winery was also within Minutes also. The Kitchen was well equipped to cook a meal there at the house. With a Dining Room Table to Feed a Crowd. This House is just as pictured, the Den has a lot of seating and Spacious.We have been Renting from Carolina Mountain Properties for quite a while now. Their Rentals are Clean and Everyone at the Office is so Nice, Professional, and more than Happy to assist you when needed.We will be renting again in the near future.

Living room rocking chairs were broken.4. Hot tub temp was at 92. This should be at 100.5. Update the cooking utensils. They were bending while in use.6. Replace cooking pans with non-stick ones.7. Fix drawer fixture in kitchen.8. 2nd floor bedroom facing the mountain was hot. Replace window treatment there with room darkening to help it.

Great Family GetAway Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spacious open floor plan made it easy for our whole family to hang out and enjoy meals together. The cabin is kept clean, the location is good, the view from the back porch is wonderful. The cabin does need some maintenance in a few places. When we visited, the basement (4th bedroom and pool table area) had moisture in the carpets and smelled of mildew. A dehumidifier was running down there but carpet water stains indicated this might be an ongoing problem. Basement shower didn’t drain well but management company was very responsive and quickly sent out maintenance.Main and upper floors were in excellent condition. Kitchen has most of what you need for simple food prep. Hot tub was an enjoyable feature on a cool night. Rental property said they use a company to keep hot tub serviced between renters-it was very clean. It is located a few minutes from restaurants in Jefferson. We enjoyed hiking, tubing down the New River and did a day trip to ride our bikes on the 17 mile Virginia Creeper, and drank coffee on the back porch watching the clouds move around mountains. Excellent vacation getaway!

Misunderstood

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Considering we spent $850 a night it was not worth the cost, the pool table has a seam down the middle the sticks were not in good working condition, the entire house decor was out dated- dingy and stained, the master bathroom shower nobs don’t work correctly, the shower curtain was tissue paper thin, the complimentary hand soap was broken into tiny little pieces. The drive was was so steep and very difficult to manage.
