This place was dirty, shower didn't drain, had to keep turning off the shower to let it drain so I could finish my shower. Host was rude when the key didn't work to let us back in. Was gonna charge a fee to send someone out to let us back in. We didn't lock the key inside it just didn't work. Told us to just sit in the car and stay cool. Seriously?! It was only 45 mins for someone to show up to open it, but told me it'd be two hours. Worse than it being dirty, this host sucks! We actually ended up just going to a hotel.

I never actually stayed in this property because the day before check-in, the host informs me that the AC is broken. So they placed me in one of their other properties advertised as "Warhawks Cavern Getaway" Before entering the house I could tell that it was very neglected. Cobwebs, dead insects, stale/BO smell in bedrooms, and mildew smell in the master bathroom. The worst part was that on check out day, I received a knock on the door around 10:15 and the woman behind the door said check out was at 10:00 but I told her the booking says 11:00. I check my phone and see they sent a message 20 minutes before 10:00 saying 10:00 is check out time. That is ridiculously insane to inform your guest on such a short notice and expect them to be packed up and done with the check out list in 20 minutes.

The house definitely needs a better cleaning. Mattress in cigar room not good. The property was sufficient for 1 night with 6 people.

The property itself is cute, and ideally more of a winter stay. The AC in the summer was not cooling it down and we were pretty warm and we're from Texas. The fridge/freezer seemed to be ajar when we arrived and the fridge was not keeping cold to the point we had to buy a cooler at the local walmart for our stay. When notified, the owner did offer to send someone out the next day, but I was surprised when she did not seem apologetic for the inconvenience or offer to reimburse us for the cooler. We also were unable to make it the day of our check in and we left a day before our stay ended due to our tournament ending early. I know it's not common to give refunds for any time booked and not stayed, but the owner is not overly friendly or accommodating. Also the tub does not drain when you take a shower. You have to take a fast shower before the tub fills completely up, but it will drain once you finish the shower. Also you may want to bring trashbags, towels and rags. There were 3 towels, no trashbags, and no rags. But again, for the price, and if it was winter, and we knew to bring certain things, it would be a nice stay for a small family.

Cute little three bedroom house

We came to West Monroe for a week. We had kids and this beats a hotel any day. You have laundry, 1.5 baths, a full kitchen, wifi, it seems like a safe neighborhood and right close to anything you want in town. Living room has a door into hallway which you can close and bedrooms stay real quiet. Loved that! Beds and bathrooms were clean. We would stay here again if something takes us to West Monroe. Trash pickup is Thursday. If you are more nit picky than me and want to know any slight negatives, there is no place to hang towels; hand towels, kitchen towels or bath towels. Toilets are kind of wobbly. There was no broom or dishwasher pods so we couldn't clean up as well as I would have liked when we left. Inside bottom kitchen cabinets, floor boards and walls in some places could use a good wash. But we liked it. House stayed nice and cool and had pretty much everything we needed. Would stay here again.

Horrible Experience

Firstly, let me begin by stating that I have stayed at several rentals over the past decade, and this experience was, unfortunately, the worst. Historically, I have not rated any rental below an 8. Upon receiving the check-in instructions, there was no key code or guidance on how to enter the property, nor were we given any checkout instructions. We were in town for the Miss Louisiana pageant.Immediately upon check-in, we had to contact VRBO due to significant issues: one side of the house was infested with bugs, there was no hot water, and the property was not as described in the listing and was very unclean. VRBO advised us to reach out to the host, who promptly sent someone to address the hot water issue. The host mentioned that a cleaner was sent, but they only removed a few bugs from the bathroom and left.The property had hair in the corners, holes in the walls, and other cleanliness issues. Additionally, during the night, I had to contact VRBO again because the bug infestation affected both my daughter and me, which was highly distressing. The discrepancy between the listing and the actual property was extremely disappointing and misleading. I am grateful for having contacted VRBO upon our arrival.

Would not stay again

The house was ok but the sell of smoke was horrendous. There was no airing the house out. The pictures were pretty accurate. The toilet seats and toilet ms were not secured at all. The neighborhood was nice and super quiet. When we arrived all the doors were unlocked and the smell would about knock you out.

I truly enjoyed staying at this location. The house was nice and inviting. It was perfect for my family for the night! Definitely recommend! I was so glad that we were able to book for only one night too!

The kitchen set up was horrible. The stove didn’t work properly. I couldn’t bake in the oven due to heating coil was defected. The stove covers were not cleaned properly and had grease almost had a fire.Removed all the covers and underneath the stove burners it is rusted. The shower curtain was absolutely filthy. That was very unsanitary , those brown stains .There was no mop for clean up of spills we used a large wet bath towel i bought to clean the kitchen floor. Holes in the walls where things were nailed before and not repaired afterwards. Dust along the baseboard. The sofa in the living area is filthy I covered with crochet blanket I found in the closet. The bedroom where I slept had window curtains sheer and no privacy had to cover with a large towel. The bedroom my brother slept in the blinds were broken badly and as if she didn’t care how it looked .The pictures on the site are nice compared to in person view.My plans where to have family coming from out of state to stop by have some food and met other family members. We where here to lay my mom to rest on January 8,2024.Did a lot of running to get food prepared but we got it done. She was made aware of people coming and going at the location on my check in day. It’s ok to want to rent and make extra money but keep it clean and safe. There is no smoke alarm. The place is going to catch fire from that stove or oven it doesn’t get replaced or repaired.I took pictures for proof.

Great place for a family/group

This house was perfect for our family, with lots of nice touches to make an enjoyable stay: a full kitchen stocked with spices, a back yard with seating outside, plus a selection of board games. A quiet location convenient to shopping and the freeway. A great home away from home.
