Overall speaking, this was a very nice place. The location is not tooooo far from the West Yellowstone downtown area. So, it was pretty easy to get grocery and all the necessities. The only drawback is that if you are there to visit all the different parts of Yellowstone National Park, it is probably better not to stay here the entire time because it is far from the east side of the park like Lamar Valley. But this house itself is really nice!
We did have a pretty rough first night there though. It was mainly due to the broken heater. We were traveling with my parents who are in their 80s. My mom was especially weak and thin. She felt cold when the temperature is below 70F. Anyway, when we entered the house the 1st day, it felt cold even for me. We checked the thermoset and it showed 60F. We turned on the heater, but the temperature remained 60F even after a few hours. So, we contacted the owner, and she came over to adjust the thermoset setting. She also tried her best to fix the fireplace on the dining room side that was not working (the living room side was working fine). However, after several hours of trying and fixing and waiting, the indoor temperature was still around 60F. So, the owner got us two portable space heaters. However, when both space heaters were plugged in, the electric circuit got overloaded and the tripped the circuit breaker. Good that we were able to find the electric service penal and flipped the switch. Thanks to the owner for the space heater!
