This âstudio apartmentâ is actually the basement of the hostsâ home, which was not disclosed. Check-in times sent conflicted, once permitted to enter I had to lift a heavy roller bag up over a ledge and down a very steep staircaseâunsafe and difficult. Noise from upstairs (TV, loud voices, footsteps, barking dog) lasted past 2am both nights. The host first apologized and offered late checkout, then deleted that message and replaced it with one requiring departure at 11am for an 11am cleaning crew. I was also told to empty baskets and bring out my own trash upon departure. Thermostat was controlled upstairs by the hosts. The unit was damp (70% humidity, musty/moldy odor), and pillow shams smelled unwashed. The âapartment with kitchenâ was only a mini fridge and small appliances on a rack, with no stove, sink, or counter space, and no water provided to make coffee. Listing says âsleeps 4,â but there was just one queen bed and a medium non-pullout couch. Though decorated very nicely, the space did not reflect the high price, which went well above average listed rate for the unit.
