Positives were the quiet and convenient location, big fluffy towels, modern kitchen, renovated bathrooms, and comfortable bed. There were many negatives including shower and tub drains that had water coming up them during a heavy downpour. The drain smell was sickening. The carpets need cleaning. Upon arrival it was evident the carpets had not been vacuumed so I did only to discover the machine dust bag was full. It smelled of dog. The lower level has an unpleasant odor despite diffusers in two locations that attempt to mask the smell. The freezer is mostly full of ice and needs defrosting. The top of the exhaust hood was covered in dust. I expected a cleaner apartment. The scaffolding around the building, which was disclosed in January after I had booked, ruins the view and has been there for months making the sitting area outside the bedroom unusable. Parking is a hassle for two couples in separate cars. Host communication is almost non-existent. I only received one real response to my concerns or questions during the five months between booking and staying in the property. All the other messages were automated form notifications related to the booking. I tried calling both numbers; one number didn't work and a message left on the other was never returned. Overall this booking experience was disappointing.
