Last minute decision to stay here and we weren’t disappointed. Friendly staff. Easy check in. Clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast. Roughly a half hour stroll (with kids) into town. Would definitely stay at Penny Hedge in the future.

Room 23 is comfortable but there were just little things that could improve it.
Paint was chipping away on the window sill and on the skirting board, and the tv remote control had no back to it, with the batteries looking like they’d been stamped on!

Housekeeping was good over our three night stay.
one morning just one waitress was on duty therefore she was overworked and unable to keep up with the service expected. Additionally the bar floor area was sticky.
Breakfast was average, one morning poached eggs served broken and undercooked.
Hot water for Tea served from vacuum dispensers we’re barely warm on every morning.
