Everything was great until hours before and coming up to checkout time. The cleaning staff kept pestering us by telling us checkout time was 11am. We knew that and that was interrupting us from getting ready!!

The hotel is in need of a renovation. The lobby and eating area were fine. The rooms were not. In our room specifically, the window that at one point used to open, does not anymore and it was not closed 100%. It was closed near the bottom but not near the top. It would not budge as we tried to close it ourselves. There was a metal bar sticking out of the side of the bed frame that my son cut himself on. The wallpaper was slightly peeling in places, and it appeared it was painted near the ceiling to try and fix the peeling. Plus, the pool is not operational and hasn't been for a couple years! We did complain and the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. On a positive side, the bed was very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. They did say they have been told by corporate they were on the list for a renovation, but it keeps getting pushed back. So, Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc. if you are reading this, I would not push back the renovation for this hotel any further if you don't want to continue receiving damaging reviews.

The lobby is updated nicely. The room was ok. It was stocked with all items we needed but it could have been cleaned a little better. There were stains on the chair, floors, and the bathroom was dusty with an acrylic nail on the floor in the bathroom. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfy. We checked in late. Cristina was especially attentative to us. She made sure to place us on a floor with no animals and in the back off the highway. We especially appreciate her. She also made sure that we had waters and snacks at check in. The breakfast was hot with plenty of options for everyone.

The hotel was older and it showed. There was paint chipping off the walls onto the floor in the bathroom. The bathroom itself could use a huge overhaul. It wasn't the cleanest. The towels were not the cleanest and had stains. The smell of the room was odd. Almost like a floral wet dog. On a positive note the breakfast was nice and had more choices than usual.

My main complaint is the bathroom in the king room. The door is huge (for handicap access?) so it has to be open all the way or closed to do anything in the bathroom. There was no fan so had to leave the door open when showering. The toilet seat was so low that it was difficult to use. I’m 5’10” and had to use the countertop to help me up. Microwave was next to the ice machine in a vestibule by the elevator. Pillows were so shmooshy that I brought my own in. Horrible for side sleepers. Lamps needed to be replaced, somehow rusty? Staff was congenial, hot breakfast was mediocre, typical Hampton Inn fare. The hotel is built into the side of a steep hill so I don’t recommend it for people with disabilities or lots of luggage. There’s a long ramp up to the lobby if you’re looking for one, otherwise several steps up. Parking is on 4 levels of terraced lot and fills up. This was my 3rd Hampton Inn this week and my least favorite.
